ከዚያም ቀስ በቀስ ወደእኛ ሰብሰብነው ፡ ፡

yet while you are filled with wonder , they just scoff ;
ይልቁንም ( በማስተባበላቸው ) ተደነቅህ ፤ ( ከመደነቅህ ) ይሳለቃሉም ፡ ፡

why is it that you do not trust us with joseph ? we are indeed his well-wishers .
( እነሱም ) አሉ « አባታችን ሆይ ! በዩሱፍ ላይ ለምን አታምነንም እኛም ለእርሱ በእርግጥ አዛኞች ነን ፡ ፡ »

do you not see how your lord extends the shadow ? had he willed , he could have made it still .
ወደ ጌታህ ( ሥራ ) ጥላን እንዴት እንደ ዘረጋ አላየህምን በሻም ኖሮ የረጋ ባደረገው ነበር ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ፀሐይን በእርሱ ላይ ምልክት አደረግን ፡ ፡

then allah graced us with his favour and saved us from the chastisement of the scorching wind .
« አላህም በእኛ ላይ ለገሰ ፡ ፡ የመርዛም እሳት ቅጣትንም ጠበቀን ፡ ፡

hast thou not regarded thy lord , how he has stretched out the shadow ? had he willed , he would have made it still .
ወደ ጌታህ ( ሥራ ) ጥላን እንዴት እንደ ዘረጋ አላየህምን በሻም ኖሮ የረጋ ባደረገው ነበር ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ፀሐይን በእርሱ ላይ ምልክት አደረግን ፡ ፡

hast thou not observed thine lord-how he hath stretched out the shadow ? and if he had willed he would have made it still .
ወደ ጌታህ ( ሥራ ) ጥላን እንዴት እንደ ዘረጋ አላየህምን በሻም ኖሮ የረጋ ባደረገው ነበር ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ፀሐይን በእርሱ ላይ ምልክት አደረግን ፡ ፡

they said : hast thou come unto us with the truth , or art thou of those who sport ?
« በምሩ መጣህልን ወይንስ አንተ ከሚቀልዱት ነህ » አሉት ፡ ፡

hast thou not seen how thy lord hath spread the shade - and if he willed he could have made it still - then we have made the sun its pilot ;
ወደ ጌታህ ( ሥራ ) ጥላን እንዴት እንደ ዘረጋ አላየህምን በሻም ኖሮ የረጋ ባደረገው ነበር ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ፀሐይን በእርሱ ላይ ምልክት አደረግን ፡ ፡

and they said : whatever sign you may bring to us to charm us with it-- we will not believe in you .
( ለሙሳም ) « በማንኛይቱም ተዓምር በእርሷ ልትደግምብን ብትመጣብን እኛ ለአንተ የምናምንልህ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

blessed be the god and father of our lord jesus christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in christ:
በክርስቶስ በሰማያዊ ስፍራ በመንፈሳዊ በረከት ሁሉ የባረከን የጌታችን የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ አምላክና አባት ይባረክ።

and what aileth us that we should not believe in allah and that which hath come unto us of the truth ; and we long that our lord will enter us with the righteous people .
« በአላህና ከውነትም በመጣልን ነገር የማናምን ጌታችንም ከመልካም ሰዎች ጋር ሊያስገባን የማንከጅል ለኛ ምን አለን » ( ይላሉ ) ፡ ፡

and they said , " no matter what sign you bring us with which to bewitch us , we will not be believers in you . "
( ለሙሳም ) « በማንኛይቱም ተዓምር በእርሷ ልትደግምብን ብትመጣብን እኛ ለአንተ የምናምንልህ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

say ( o muhammad ) : if i have invented it , still ye have no power to support me against allah . he is best aware of what ye say among yourselves concerning it .
ይልቁንም ቀጠፈው ይላሉን ? « ብቀጥፈው ለእኔ ከአላህ ( ቅጣት ለማዳን ) ምንንም አትችሉም ፡ ፡ እርሱ ያንን በእርሱ የምትቀባዥሩበትን ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ በእኔና በእናንተ መካከል መስካሪ በእርሱ በቃ ፡ ፡ እርሱም መሓሪው አዛኙ ነው » በላቸው ፡ ፡

" the two of us are disputing the wrong one has done the other . so judge between us with equity , and do not be unjust , and guide us to the right path .
በዳውድ ላይም በገቡ ጊዜ ከእነርሱም በደነገጠ ጊዜ « አትፍራ ፤ ( እኛ ) ከፊላችን በከፊሉ ላይ ወሰን ያለፈ ሁለት ተከራካሪዎች ነን ፡ ፡ በመካከላችንም በእውነት ፍረድ ፡ ፡ አታዳላም ፡ ፡ ወደ መካከለኛውም መንገድ ምራን ፤ » አሉት ፡ ፡

' our lord , do not take us to account if we have forgotten , or made a mistake . our lord , do not burden us with a load as you have burdened those before us .
አላህ ነፍስን ከችሎታዋ በላይ አያስገድዳትም ፡ ፡ ለርስዋ የሠራችው አላት ፡ ፡ በርስዋም ላይ ያፈራችው ( ኀጢአት ) አለባት ፡ ፡ ( በሉ ) ፡ - ጌታችን ሆይ ! ብንረሳ ወይም ብንስት አትያዘን ፤ ( አትቅጣን ) ፡ ፡ ጌታችን ሆይ ! ከባድ ሸክምን ከእኛ በፊት በነበሩት ላይ እንደጫንከው በእኛ ላይ አትጫንብን ፡ ፡ ጌታችን ሆይ ! ለኛም በርሱ ችሎታ የሌለንን ነገር አታሸክመን ፡ ፡ ከእኛም ይቅርታ አድርግ ለእኛም ምሕረት አድርግ ፡ ፡ እዘንልንም ፤ ዋቢያችን አንተ ነህና ፡ ፡ በከሓዲዎች ሕዝቦች ላይም እርዳን ፡ ፡

" noah , " they replied , " you have argued with us , and argued to excess . now bring down upon us what you threaten us with , if you speak the truth ! ? "
« ኑህ ሆይ ! በእርግጥ ተከራከርከን ፡ ፡ እኛን መከራከርህንም አበዛኸው ፡ ፡ ከእውነተኞቹም እንደሆንክ የምታስፈራራብንን ቅጣት አምጣው » አሉ ፡
