as for the moon , we have ordained its phases , until it becomes like an old palm leaf .
ጨረቃንም የመስፈሪያዎች ባለቤት ሲኾን እንደ ዘንባባ አሮጌ ቀንዘል እስኪኾን ድረስ ( መኼዱን ) ለካነው ፡ ፡

they will come out of the graves with downcast eyes like an expanding swarm of locusts .
ዓይኖቻቸው ያቀረቀሩ ኾነው ፤ ፍጹም የተበተነ አንበጣ መስለው ከመቃብሮቹ ይወጣሉ ፡ ፡

and the moon , we have determined it in phases till it returns like an old palmbranch .
ጨረቃንም የመስፈሪያዎች ባለቤት ሲኾን እንደ ዘንባባ አሮጌ ቀንዘል እስኪኾን ድረስ ( መኼዱን ) ለካነው ፡ ፡

and for the moon we have appointed mansions till she return like an old shrivelled palm-leaf .

we have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk .

and we did not show them a sign but it was greater than its like , and we overtook them with chastisement that they may turn .
ከተዓምርም አንዲትንም አናሳያቸውም እርሷ ከብጤዋ በጣም የበለጠች ብትኾን እንጅ ፡ ፡ ( ከክህደታቸው ) ይመለሱም ዘንድ በቅጣት ያዝናቸው ፡ ፡

and the moon -- we have determined it by stations , till it returns like an aged palm-bough .
ጨረቃንም የመስፈሪያዎች ባለቤት ሲኾን እንደ ዘንባባ አሮጌ ቀንዘል እስኪኾን ድረስ ( መኼዱን ) ለካነው ፡ ፡

allah deprives interest of all blessing and develops charity ; and allah does not like an ungrateful , sinful person .
አላህ አራጣን ( በረከቱን ) ያጠፋል ፡ ፡ ምጽዋቶችንም ያፋፋል ፡ ፡ አላህም ኃጠኢተኛ ከሓዲን ሁሉ አይወድም ፡ ፡

he who brings a good deed shall have tenfold of its like , but he who brings a sin shall be recompensed only for its like . none shall be wronged .
በመልካም ሥራ የመጣ ሰው ለእርሱ ዐሥር ብጤዎችዋ አሉት ፡ ፡ በክፉ ሥራም የመጣ ሰው ብጤዋን እንጅ አይመነዳም ፡ ፡ እነርሱም አይበደሉም ፡ ፡

if we will we can make it like dry trampled hay , so you would keep crying out .
ብነሻ ኖሮ ደረቅ ስብርብር ባደረግነውና የምትደነቁም በኾናችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡

what if it is from god and you disbelieve in it ? a witness from the children of israel testified to its like , and has believed , while you turned arrogant .
( ሙሐመድ ሆይ ! ) በላቸው « እስቲ ንገሩኝ ፤ ( ቁርኣኑ ) ከአላህ ዘንድ ቢኾን ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ብትክዱ ፣ ከእስራኤል ልጆችም መስካሪ በብጤው ( በእርሱ ) ላይ ቢመሰክር ፣ ቢያምንም ፣ ( ከእምነት ) ብትኮሩም ፣ ( በዳይ አትኾኑምን ? ) » አላህ በእርግጥ በደለኞችን ሕዝቦች አያቀናም ፡ ፡

those who do an evil deed shall only be rewarded with its like , but those who believe and do good works , either men and women , shall enter the gardens of paradise and are provided for without reckoning .
« መጥፎን የሠራ ሰው ብጤዋን እንጅ አይምመነዳም ፡ ፡ እርሱ ምእመን ኾኖ ከወንድ ወይም ከሴት በጎን የሠራም ሰው እነዚያ ገነትን ይገባሉ ፡ ፡ በእርሷ ውስጥ ያለ ቁጥጥር ይመገባሉ ፡ ፡

" and when ye exert your strong hand , do ye do it like men of absolute power ?
« በቀጣችሁም ጊዜ ጨካኞች ኾናችሁ ትቀጣላችሁን

allah sets forth a parable : a city enjoying security and quiet , abundantly supplied with sustenance from every place : yet was it ungrateful for the favours of allah : so allah made it taste of hunger and terror ( in extremes ) ( closing in on it ) like a garment ( from every side ) , because of the ( evil ) which ( its people ) wrought .
አላህ ጸጥተኛ ፣ የረካች ፣ ሲሳይዋ ሰፊ ኾኖ ከየስፍራው ይመጣላት የነበረችውንና በአላህ ጸጋዎች የካደችውን አላህም ይሠሩት በነበሩት ኃጢኣት የረኃብንና የፍርሃትን ቅጣቶች ያቀመሳትን ከተማ ( መካን ) ምሳሌ አደረገ ፡ ፡
