ግን እኛ ( ከእርሱ በኋላ ) የክፍለ ዘመናትን ሰዎች አስገኘን ፡ ፡ በእነሱም ላይ ዕድሜዎች ተራዘሙ ፡ ፡ በመድየንም ሰዎች ውስጥ ተቀማጭ በእነሱ ላይ አንቀጾቻችን የምታነብ አልነበርክም ፡ ፡ ግን እኛ ላኪዎችህ ኾንን ፡ ፡

and so we have made you a median nation , in order that you will be a witness above the people , and that the messenger be a witness above you . we did not change the direction that you were facing except that we might know who followed the messenger from him who turned on both his heels .
እንደዚሁም ( እንደመራናችሁ ) በሰዎች ላይ መስካሪዎች ልትሆኑና መልክተኛውም በናንተ ላይ መስካሪ ይሆን ዘንድ ምርጥ ሕዝቦች አደረግናችሁ ፡ ፡ ያችንም በርሷ ላይ የነበርክባትን አቅጣጫ መልክተኛውን የሚከተለውን ሰው ወደ ክህደት ከሚመለሰው ሰው ልናውቅ ( ልንገልጽ ) እንጅ ቂብላ አላደረግናትም ፡ ፡ እርሷም በነዚያ አላህ በመራቸው ሰዎች ላይ በስተቀር በእርግጥ ከባድ ናት ፡ ፡ አላህም እምነታችሁን ( ስግደታችሁን ) የሚያጠፋ አይደለም ፤ አላህ ለሰዎች በጣም ርኅሩኅ አዛኝ ነውና ፡ ፡

and when he arrived at the waters of median , he found there a crowd of people drawing water , and he noticed two women waiting on the side . he said , “ what is the matter with you ? ”
ወደ መድየንም ውሃ በመጣ ጊዜ በእርሱ ላይ ከሰዎች ጭፍሮችን ( መንጋዎቻቸውን ) የሚያጠጡ ሆነው አገኘ ፡ ፡ ከእነርሱ በታችም ( ከውሃው መንጎቻቸውን ) የሚከለክሉን ሁለት ሴቶች አገኘ ፡ ፡ « ነገራችሁ ምንድን ነው » አላቸው ፡ ፡ « እረኞቹ ሁሉ ( መንጋዎቻቸውን ) እስከሚመልሱ አናጠጣም ፡ ፡ አባታችንም ትልቅ ሽማግሌ ነው » አሉት ፡ ፡
