we raised him up to a high place .
ወደ ከፍተኛም ስፍራ አነሳነው ፡ ፡

and it is said , ‘ who will take him up ? ’
« አሻሪው ማነው ? » በተባለም ጊዜ ፡ ፡

then he will raise him up again when he please .
ከዚያም ( ማንሳቱን ) በሻ ጊዜ ያስነሳዋል ፡ ፡

the fish swallowed him up and he deserved ( all this ) .
እርሱም ተወቃሽ ሲሆን ዐሳው ዋጠው ፡ ፡

then took he him up in his arms, and blessed god, and said,
እርሱ ደግሞ ተቀብሎ አቀፈው እግዚአብሔርንም እየባረከ እንዲህ አለ።

then in a chain which length is seventy cubits tie him up .
« ከዚያም ርዝመቷ ሰባ ክንድ በኾነች ሰንሰለት ውስጥ አግቡት ፡ ፡ »

but allah took him up unto himself . allah was ever mighty , wise .
ይልቁንስ አላህ ( ኢሳን ) ወደርሱ አነሳው ፡ ፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

then , when it is his will , he will raise him up ( again ) .
ከዚያም ( ማንሳቱን ) በሻ ጊዜ ያስነሳዋል ፡ ፡

god raised him up to him ; god is all-mighty , all-wise .
ይልቁንስ አላህ ( ኢሳን ) ወደርሱ አነሳው ፡ ፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

nay ! allah took him up to himself ; and allah is mighty , wise .
ይልቁንስ አላህ ( ኢሳን ) ወደርሱ አነሳው ፡ ፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

but peter took him up, saying, stand up; i myself also am a man.
ጴጥሮስ ግን። ተነሣ፤ እኔ ራሴ ደግሞ ሰው ነኝ ብሎ አስነሣው።

and the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
ጐበዞችም ተነሥተው ከፈኑት አውጥተውም ቀበሩት።

they answered and said unto him, if he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.
እነርሱም መልሰው። ይህስ ክፉ አድራጊ ባይሆን ወደ አንተ አሳልፈን ባልሰጠነውም ነበር አሉት።

but whoever turns away from my reminder , will lead a straitened existence and on the day of judgement we shall raise him up blind
« ከግሣጼዬም የዞረ ሰው ለእርሱ ጠባብ ኑሮ አለው ፡ ፡ በትንሣኤም ቀን ዕውር ኾኖ እንቀሰቅሰዋለን ፡ ፡

and she said to his sister : follow him up . so she watched him from a distance while they did not perceive ,
ለእኅቱም ተከታተይው አለቻት ፡ ፡ እርሱንም እነሱ የማያውቁ ሲሆኑ በሩቅ ሆና አየችው ፡ ፡

the river will wash him to shore , where an enemy of mine and an enemy of his will pick him up . and i have bestowed upon you love from me , so that you may be reared before my eye .
« ( ሕፃኑን ) በሳጥኑ ውስጥ ጣይው ፡ ፡ እርሱንም ( ሳጥኑን ) በባሕር ላይ ጣይው ፡ ፡ ባሕሩም በዳርቻው ይጣለው ፡ ፡ ለእኔ ጠላት ለእርሱም ጠላት የኾነ ሰው ይይዘዋልና በማለት ( ባሳወቅን ጊዜ ለገስንልህ ) ፡ ፡ ባንተ ላይም ከእኔ የኾነን መወደድ ጣልኩብህ ፡ ፡ ( ልትወደድና ) በእኔም ጥበቃ ታድግ ዘንድ ፡ ፡

and whosoever turneth away from my admonition , for him verily will be a livelihood shrunken , and we shall raise him up on the day of judgment sightless .
« ከግሣጼዬም የዞረ ሰው ለእርሱ ጠባብ ኑሮ አለው ፡ ፡ በትንሣኤም ቀን ዕውር ኾኖ እንቀሰቅሰዋለን ፡ ፡

one of them said , " do not kill joseph , but if you must do something , cast him into the bottom of a well ; some of the travellers will pick him up . "
ከእነሱ አንድ ተናጋሪ « ዩሱፍን አትግደሉ ግን በጉድጓድ አዘቅት ጨለማ ውስጥ ጣሉት ፤ ከተጓዢዎች አንዱ ያነሳዋልና ፡ ፡ ሠሪዎች ብትኾኑ ( በዚሁ ተብቃቁ ) አላቸው ፡ ፡

and firon 's family took him up that he might be an enemy and a grief for them ; surely firon and haman and their hosts were wrongdoers .
የፈርዖን ቤተሰቦችም ( መጨረሻው ) ለእነርሱ ጠላት ሐዘንም ይሆን ዘንድ አነሱት ፡ ፡ ፈርዖንና ሃማንም ሰራዊቶቻቸውም ሀጢአተኞች ነበሩ ፡ ፡

and the family of pharaoh took him up , that he might become for them an enemy and a sorrow , lo ! pharaoh and haman and their hosts were ever sinning .
የፈርዖን ቤተሰቦችም ( መጨረሻው ) ለእነርሱ ጠላት ሐዘንም ይሆን ዘንድ አነሱት ፡ ፡ ፈርዖንና ሃማንም ሰራዊቶቻቸውም ሀጢአተኞች ነበሩ ፡ ፡
