ሰማይ

rain from the sky ,
« በገንዘቦችና በልጆችም ይለግሰላችኋል ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም አትክልቶችን ያደርግላችኋል ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም ወንዞችን ያደርግላችኋል ፡ ፡ »

and the sky is cleft ,
ሰማይም በተከፈተች ጊዜ ፡ ፡

when the sky is split open
ሰማይ በተቀደደች ጊዜ ፤

and the sky is rent asunder ,
ሰማይም በተከፈተች ጊዜ ፡ ፡

and when the sky is stripped away
ሰማይም በተገሸለጠች ጊዜ ፤

by the sky with its returning rain ,
የመመለስ ባለቤት በኾነችው ሰማይም እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

by the sky and how he built it
በሰማይቱም በገነባትም ( ጌታ ) ፤

and the sky and he who built it .
በሰማይቱም በገነባትም ( ጌታ ) ፤

by the sky and the night comer -
በሰማዩ በሌሊት መጪውም እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

and by the lofty vault of the sky ,
ከፍ በተደረገው ጣራም ፡ ፡

and by the sky and by him who made it ;
በሰማይቱም በገነባትም ( ጌታ ) ፤

and on the sky , how it is raised aloft ,
ወደ ሰማይም እንዴት ከፍ እንደ ተደረገች !

and [ by ] the sky and he who constructed it
በሰማይቱም በገነባትም ( ጌታ ) ፤

and at the sky , how it is raised high ? -
ወደ ሰማይም እንዴት ከፍ እንደ ተደረገች !

then we opened the gates of the sky with pouring waters ,
ወዲያውም የሰማይን ደጃፎች በሚንቧቧ ውሃ ከፈትን ፡ ፡

by the sky , ( displaying ) the zodiacal signs ;
የቡርጆች ባለቤት በኾነችው ሰማይ እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

and allah has raised the sky ; and he has set the balance .
ሰማይንም አጓናት ፡ ፡ ትክክለኛነትንም ደነገገ ፡ ፡

the sky nor the earth cried for them , nor were they given respite .
ሰማይና ምድርም በእነርሱ ላይ አላለቀሱም ፡ ፡ የሚቆዩም አልነበሩም ፡ ፡

by the sky and the night-visitant ( therein ) ; -
በሰማዩ በሌሊት መጪውም እምላለሁ ፡ ፡
