« እኛም የምንቅቀጣ አይደለንም » ( አሉ ) ፡ ፡

we are not going to be damned . "
« እኛም የምንቅቀጣ አይደለንም » ( አሉ ) ፡ ፡

is it then that we are not going to die ,
( የገነት ሰዎች ይላሉ ) « እኛ የምንሞት አይደለንምን ?

and most of the people , howsoever you might so desire , are not going to believe .
አብዛኛዎቹም ሰዎች ( ለማመናቸው ) ብትጓጓም የሚያምኑ አይደሉም ፡ ፡

( another will say : ) " is it true , we are not going to die
( የገነት ሰዎች ይላሉ ) « እኛ የምንሞት አይደለንምን ?

and most of the people , though thou desiredest ardently , are not going to be believers .
አብዛኛዎቹም ሰዎች ( ለማመናቸው ) ብትጓጓም የሚያምኑ አይደሉም ፡ ፡

and they said , ‘ whatever sign you may bring us to bewitch us , we are not going to believe you . ’
( ለሙሳም ) « በማንኛይቱም ተዓምር በእርሷ ልትደግምብን ብትመጣብን እኛ ለአንተ የምናምንልህ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

he is but a man who hath fabricated against god a lie , and in him we are not going to be believers .
« እርሱ በአላህ ላይ ውሸትን የቀጠፈ ሰው እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡ እኛም ለእርሱ አማኞች አይደለንም » ( አሉ ) ፡ ፡

and they said : we are more numerous in riches and children , and we are not going to be tormented .
« እኛም በገንዘቦችና በልጆች ይበልጥ የበዛን ነን ፡ ፡ እኛም የምንቀጣ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

he is only a man who has invented a lie about god , and we are not going to believe him ! "
« እርሱ በአላህ ላይ ውሸትን የቀጠፈ ሰው እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡ እኛም ለእርሱ አማኞች አይደለንም » ( አሉ ) ፡ ፡

there is nought but our life of the world ; we die and we live , and we are not going to be raised up .
« እርሷ ( ሕይወት ) ቅርቢቱ ሕይወታችን እንጂ ሌላ አይደለችም ፡ ፡ እንሞታለን ፤ ( ልጆቻችን ስለሚተኩ ) ሕያውም እንኾናለን ፡ ፡ እኛም ተቀስቃሾች አይደለንም ፡ ፡

" he is only a man who has invented a lie against allah , but we are not going to believe in him . "
« እርሱ በአላህ ላይ ውሸትን የቀጠፈ ሰው እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡ እኛም ለእርሱ አማኞች አይደለንም » ( አሉ ) ፡ ፡

and they said to moses : ' whatever sign you might produce before us in order to enchant us , we are not going to believe you . '
( ለሙሳም ) « በማንኛይቱም ተዓምር በእርሷ ልትደግምብን ብትመጣብን እኛ ለአንተ የምናምንልህ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

and they said : whatsoever thou mayest bring unto us of the nature of a sign wherewith to enchant us , in thee we are not going to be believers
( ለሙሳም ) « በማንኛይቱም ተዓምር በእርሷ ልትደግምብን ብትመጣብን እኛ ለአንተ የምናምንልህ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

as for those who have rejected ( these things ) , it is all the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them : they are not going to believe .
እነዚያ የካዱት ( ሰዎች ) ብታስፈራራቸውም ባታስፈራራቸውም በነርሱ ላይ እኩል ነው ፤ አያምኑም ፡ ፡

i am not going to drive away those who have believed . surely , they are going to meet their lord , but i see that you are a people that are ignorant .
« ሕዝቦቼም ሆይ ! በርሱ ( በተላክሁበት ማድረስ ) ላይ ገንዘብን አልጠይቃችሁም ፡ ፡ ምንዳዬ በአላህ ላይ እንጂ በሌላ ላይ አይደለም ፡ ፡ እኔም እነዚያን ያመኑትን አባራሪ አይደለሁም ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ጌታቸውን የሚገናኙ ናቸውና ፡ ፡ ግን እኔም የምትሳሳቱ ሕዝቦች ሆናችሁ አያችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ »

and allah hath preferred some of you over some other in provision ; then those who are preferred are not going to hand over their provision to those whom their right hands possess as to be equal in respect thereof . gainsay they then the favour of allah ?
አላህም ከፊላችሁን በከፊሉ ላይ በሲሳይ አበለጠ ፡ ፡ እነዚያም በላጭ የተደረጉት ሲሳያቸውን እጆቻቸው በያዙዋቸው ( ባሮች ) ላይ እነሱ በእርሱ ይተካከሉ ዘንድ መላሾች አይደሉም ፡ ፡ ታዲያ በአላህ ጸጋ ( ለእርሱ ተጋሪ በማድረግ ) ይክዳሉን

they said : art thou come unto us to turn us aside from that faith whereon we found our fathers , and that the greatness in the land shall be unto you twain ! and for the sake of you twain we are not going to be believers .
( እነርሱም ) አሉ ፡ - « አባቶቻችንን በእርሱ ላይ ካገኘንበት ሃይማኖት ልታዞረን ለእናንተም በምድር ውስጥ ኩራት ( ሹመት ) ልትኖራችሁ መጣህብን እኛም ለእናንተ አማኞች አይደለንም ፡ ፡ »

allah has bestowed his gifts of sustenance more freely on some of you than on others : those more favoured are not going to throw back their gifts to those whom their right hands possess , so as to be equal in that respect . will they then deny the favours of allah ?
አላህም ከፊላችሁን በከፊሉ ላይ በሲሳይ አበለጠ ፡ ፡ እነዚያም በላጭ የተደረጉት ሲሳያቸውን እጆቻቸው በያዙዋቸው ( ባሮች ) ላይ እነሱ በእርሱ ይተካከሉ ዘንድ መላሾች አይደሉም ፡ ፡ ታዲያ በአላህ ጸጋ ( ለእርሱ ተጋሪ በማድረግ ) ይክዳሉን

( what greater sign could there be than that ) we have sent you with the knowledge of the truth and made you a bearer of good tidings and a warner ? now , you are not responsible and answerable for those who are bent upon going to hell .
እኛ አብሳሪና አስፈራሪ ኾነህ በውነት ላክንህ ፡ ፡ ከእሳትም ጓዶች አትጠየቅም ፡ ፡
