and they glorified god in me.
ስለ እኔም እግዚአብሔርን ያከብሩ ነበር።

and if ye put no faith in me , then let me go .
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

and if ye will not believe in me , then let me alone .
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

and if you do not believe in me , then leave me alone .
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

if you do not believe in me , at least keep away from me . "
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
በእኔ ያያችሁት አሁንም በእኔ እንዳለ የምትሰሙት፥ ያው መጋደል ደርሶባችኋልና።

and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. believest thou this?
ሕያው የሆነም የሚያምንብኝም ሁሉ ለዘላለም አይሞትም፤ ይህን ታምኚያለሽን? አላት።

“ and if you do not believe in me , then have no relation with me . ”
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

whereunto i also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
ለዚህም ነገር ደግሞ፥ በእኔ በኃይል እንደሚሠራ እንደ አሠራሩ እየተጋደልሁ፥ እደክማለሁ።

now if i do that i would not, it is no more i that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
የማልወደውን የማደርግ ከሆንሁ ግን ያን የማደርገው አሁን እኔ አይደለሁም፥ በእኔ የሚኖር ኃጢአት ነው እንጂ።

hereafter i will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
ከእንግዲህ ወዲህ ከእናንተ ጋር ብዙ አልናገርም፥ የዚህ ዓለም ገዥ ይመጣልና፤ በእኔ ላይም አንዳች የለውም፤

or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while i stood before the council,
ወይም በመካከላቸው ቆሜ። ዛሬ ስለ ሙታን መነሣት በፊታችሁ በእኔ ይፈርዱብኛል ብዬ ከጮኽሁት ከዚህ ከአንድ ነገር በቀር፥ በሸንጎ ፊት ቆሜ ሳለሁ በእኔ አንድ ዓመፃ ያገኙ እንደ ሆን እነዚህ ራሳቸው ይናገሩ።

if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
በእኔ ብትኖሩ ቃሎቼም በእናንተ ቢኖሩ የምትወዱትን ሁሉ ለምኑ ይሆንላችሁማል።

he said : o my people ! there is no error in me , but i am a messenger from the lord of the worlds .
አላቸው « ወገኖቼ ሆይ ! ምንም መሳሳት የለብኝም ፡ ፡ ግን እኔ ከዓለማት ጌታ መልእክተኛ ነኝ ፡ ፡ »

' my nation , there is no foolishness in me ' he replied . ' i am a messenger of the lord of the worlds
( እርሱም ) አላቸው « ወገኖቼ ሆይ ! እኔ ሞኝነት የለብኝም ፡ ፡ ግን እኔ ከዓለማት ጌታ የተላክሁ ነኝ ፡ ፡ »

( god replied ) , " now you declare belief in me ! but before this you were a disobedient rebel .
ከአሁን በፊት በእርግጥ ያመጽክ ከአጥፊዎችም የነበርክ ስትሆን አሁን ( አመንኩ ትላለህ )

" it would not be reasonable in me if i did not serve him who created me , and to whom ye shall ( all ) be brought back .
« ያንንም የፈጠረኝን ፤ ወደርሱም የምትመለሱበትን ( ጌታ ) የማልገዛ ለእኔ ምን አለኝ ? » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

and when my servants ask you concerning me , then surely i am very near ; i answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls on me , so they should answer my call and believe in me that they may walk in the right way .
ባሮቼም ከእኔ በጠየቁህ ጊዜ ( እንዲህ በላቸው ) ፡ - እኔ ቅርብ ነኝ ፡ ፡ የለማኝን ጸሎት በለመነኝ ጊዜ እቀበለዋለሁ ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ ለኔ ይታዘዙ ፤ በኔም ይመኑ ፤ እነሱ ሊመሩ ይከጀላልና ፡ ፡

he said , “ o my people ! there is no straying in me – i am in fact a noble messenger from the lord of the creation . ”
አላቸው « ወገኖቼ ሆይ ! ምንም መሳሳት የለብኝም ፡ ፡ ግን እኔ ከዓለማት ጌታ መልእክተኛ ነኝ ፡ ፡ »

" and behold ! i inspired the disciples to have faith in me and mine messenger : they said , ' we have faith , and do thou bear witness that we bow to allah as muslims ' " .
ወደ ሐዋርያትም « በኔና በመልክተኛዬ እመኑ » በማለት ባዘዝኩ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ « አመንን ፤ እኛ ሙስሊሞች መኾናችንን መስክር » አሉ ፡ ፡
