ማንኛይቱንም ከተማ ለእርሷ የተወሰነ መጽሐፍ ( ጊዜያት ) ያላት ኾና እንጂ አላጠፋንም ፡ ፡

and he cast it down , and behold it was a serpent sliding .
ጣላትም ፡ ፡ ወዲያውም እርሷ የምትሮጥ እባብ ኾነች ፡ ፡

and we did not wrong them , but it was they who were the wrongdoers .
አልበደልናቸውምም ፤ ግን በዳዮቹ እነርሱው ነበሩ ፡ ፡

so he cast his staff , and behold , it was a serpent manifest .
በትሩንም ጣለ ፡ ፡ እርሷም ወዲያውኑ ግልጽ እባብ ኾነች ፡ ፡

moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent .
ጣላትም ፡ ፡ ወዲያውም እርሷ የምትሮጥ እባብ ኾነች ፡ ፡

he cast it down , and behold ! it was a snake , moving quickly .
ጣላትም ፡ ፡ ወዲያውም እርሷ የምትሮጥ እባብ ኾነች ፡ ፡

so [ moses ] threw his staff , and suddenly it was a serpent manifest .
በትሩንም ጣለ ፡ ፡ እርሷም ወዲያውኑ ግልጽ እባብ ኾነች ፡ ፡

and some we drowned . it was not god who wronged them , but it was they who wronged their own selves .
ሁሉንም በኅጢኣቱ ያዝነው ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ውስጥ ጠጠርን ያዘለ ነፋስን የላክንበት አልለ ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ውስጥ ጩኸት የያዘችው አልለ ፡ ፡ ከእነርሱም ውስጥ በእርሱ ምድርን የደረባንበት አልለ ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ውስጥ ያሰጠምንው አልለ ፡ ፡ አላህም የሚበድላቸው አልነበረም ፡ ፡ ግን ነፍሶቻቸውን የሚበድሉ ነበሩ ፡ ፡

we did not show them a sign but it was greater than the other , and we visited on them punishment so that they might come back .
ከተዓምርም አንዲትንም አናሳያቸውም እርሷ ከብጤዋ በጣም የበለጠች ብትኾን እንጅ ፡ ፡ ( ከክህደታቸው ) ይመለሱም ዘንድ በቅጣት ያዝናቸው ፡ ፡

and in thamud 's also was a lesson , when it was said unto them : enjoy yourselves for a season .
በሰሙድም ለእነርሱ « እስከ ጊዜ ( ሞታችሁ ) ድረስ ተጣቀሙ » በተባሉ ጊዜ ( ምልክት አልለ ) ፡ ፡

( no sooner had he said this than ) moses threw down his rod and behold , it was a veritable serpent ,
በትሩንም ጣለ ፡ ፡ እርሷም ወዲያውኑ ግልጽ እባብ ኾነች ፡ ፡

it was not you who killed them , but it was god who killed them . and it was not you who launched when you launched , but it was god who launched .
አልገደላችኋቸውም ግን አላህ ገደላቸው ፡ ፡ ( ጭብጥን ዐፈር ) በወረወርክም ጊዜ አንተ አልወረወርክም ፡ ፡ ግን አላህ ወረወረ ( ወደ ዓይኖቻቸው አደረሰው ) ፡ ፡ ለአማኞችም ከርሱ የኾነን መልካም ጸጋ ለመስጠት ( ይህን አደረገ ) ፡ ፡ አላህ ሰሚ ዐዋቂ ነውና ፡ ፡

and certainly we gave the book to musa , but it was gone against ; and had not a word gone forth from your lord , the matter would surely have been decided between them ; and surely they are in a disquieting doubt about it .
ለሙሳም መጽሐፍን በእርግጥ ሰጠነው ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ተለያዩበት ፡ ፡ ከጌታህም ያለፈች ቃል ባልነበረች ኖሮ በመካከላቸው ( አሁን ) ይፈረድ ነበር ፡ ፡ እነሱም ከእርሱ ( ከቁርኣን ) አወላዋይ በሆነ መጠራጠር ውስጥ ናቸው ፡ ፡

and remember when we rescued you from firaun s people ’ who were afflicting you with a dreadful torment ; slaughtering your sons and sparing your daughters ; and in it was a great favour from your lord .
ከፈርዖንም ቤተሰቦች ብርቱን ቅጣት የሚያቀምሱዋችሁ ወንዶች ልጆቻችሁን የሚገድሉ ሴቶቻችሁንም የሚተዉ ሲኾኑ ባዳናችሁ ጊዜ ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡ በዚህም ውስጥ ከጌታችሁ ዘንድ የኾነ ከባድ ፈተና አለበት ፡ ፡

but when he saw it writhing as if it was a snake , he turned in flight and did not return . [ allah said ] , " o moses , approach and fear not .
« በትርህንም ጣል » ( ተባለ ) ፡ ፡ እንደ ትንሽ እባብ ስትስለከለክ ባያትም ጊዜ ወደ ኋላ ዞሮ ሸሸ ፤ አልተመለሰምም ፡ ፡ « ሙሳ ሆይ ! ተመለስ አትፍራም ፤ አንተ ከጥብቆቹ ነህና » ( ተባለም ) ፡ ፡

its provisions came in abundance from everywhere ; but it was thankless for the favors of allah . therefore , for what they were doing , allah let it taste the garment of hunger and fear .
አላህ ጸጥተኛ ፣ የረካች ፣ ሲሳይዋ ሰፊ ኾኖ ከየስፍራው ይመጣላት የነበረችውንና በአላህ ጸጋዎች የካደችውን አላህም ይሠሩት በነበሩት ኃጢኣት የረኃብንና የፍርሃትን ቅጣቶች ያቀመሳትን ከተማ ( መካን ) ምሳሌ አደረገ ፡ ፡

" children of israel , when i saved you from the pharaoh and his people who made you suffer the worst kinds of torment , killing your sons and keeping your women alive , it was a great trial for you from your lord . "
ከፈርዖንም ቤተሰቦች ብርቱን ቅጣት የሚያቀምሱዋችሁ ወንዶች ልጆቻችሁን የሚገድሉ ሴቶቻችሁንም የሚተዉ ሲኾኑ ባዳናችሁ ጊዜ ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡ በዚህም ውስጥ ከጌታችሁ ዘንድ የኾነ ከባድ ፈተና አለበት ፡ ፡

they shall say , ' they have gone astray from us ; nay , but it was nothing at all that we called upon aforetime . ' even so god leads astray the unbelievers .
« ከአላህ ሌላ ( የምታጋሩዋቸው ) ፤ ከኛ ተሰወሩን ? » « ከቶ ከዚህ በፊት ምንንም የምንገዛ አልነበርንም » ይላሉ ፤ እንደዚሁ አላህ ከሓዲዎችን ያሳስታል ፡ ፡

and when they entered after the manner their father commanded them , it availed them nothing against god ; but it was a need in jacob 's soul that he so satisfied . verily he was possessed of a knowledge for that we had taught him ; but most men know not .
አባታቸውም ካዘዛቸው ስፍራ በገቡ ጊዜ ከአላህ ( ፍርድ ) ምንም ነገር ከነርሱ የሚከለክልላቸው አልነበረም ፡ ፡ ግን በያዕቆብም ነፍስ ውስጥ የነበረች ጉዳይ ናት ፡ ፡ ፈጸማት ፡ ፡ እርሱም ስላሳወቅነው የዕውቀት ባለቤት ነው ፤ ግን አብዛኞቹ ሰዎች አያውቁም ፡ ፡

( but it was said unto them ) : flee not , but return to that ( existence ) which emasculated you and to your dwellings , that ye may be questioned .
አትገሥግሡ ፤ ትለመኑም ይኾናልና ፡ ፡ በእርሱ ወደ ተቀማጠላችሁበት ጸጋ ወደ መኖሪያዎቻችሁም ተመለሱ ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡
