grant me a good offspring from you ! indeed you hear all supplications . ’
እዚያ ዘንድ ዘከሪያ ጌታውን ለመነ ፡ ፡ « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ከአንተ ዘንድ መልካም ዘርን ለኔ ስጠኝ አንተ ጸሎትን ሰሚነህና » አለ ፡ ፡

and when we show favour to man , he withdraws and turns away , but when evil touches him , then he has recourse to long supplications .
በሰውም ላይ ጸጋችንን በለገስን ጊዜ ( ከማመስገን ) ይዞራል ፡ ፡ በጎኑም ይርቃል ፡ ፡ መከራም ባገኘው ጊዜ የብዙ ልመና ባለቤት ይኾናል ፡ ፡

when we bless man , he is disregardful and turns aside ; but when an ill befalls him , he makes protracted supplications .
በሰውም ላይ ጸጋችንን በለገስን ጊዜ ( ከማመስገን ) ይዞራል ፡ ፡ በጎኑም ይርቃል ፡ ፡ መከራም ባገኘው ጊዜ የብዙ ልመና ባለቤት ይኾናል ፡ ፡

and when we show favor to man , he turns aside and withdraws himself ; and when evil touches him , he makes lengthy supplications .
በሰውም ላይ ጸጋችንን በለገስን ጊዜ ( ከማመስገን ) ይዞራል ፡ ፡ በጎኑም ይርቃል ፡ ፡ መከራም ባገኘው ጊዜ የብዙ ልመና ባለቤት ይኾናል ፡ ፡

all praise belongs to allah , who gave me ishmael and isaac despite [ my ] old age . indeed my lord hears all supplications .
« ለእዚያ ከሽምግልና በኋላ ኢስማዒልን ኢስሐቅንም ለእኔ ለሰጠኝ አላህ ምሰጋና ይገባው ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ልመናን በእርግጥ ሰሚ ነውና ፡ ፡

i exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
እንግዲህ እግዚአብሔርን በመምሰልና በጭምትነት ሁሉ ጸጥና ዝግ ብለን እንድንኖር፥ ልመናና ጸሎት ምልጃም ምስጋናም ስለ ሰዎች ሁሉ ስለ ነገሥታትና ስለ መኳንንትም ሁሉ እንዲደረጉ ከሁሉ በፊት እመክራለሁ።

he answers [ the supplications of ] those who have faith and do righteous deeds and enhances them out of his grace . but as for the faithless , there is a severe punishment for them .
እነዚያንም ያመኑትንና መልካሞችን የሠሩትን ልመናቸውን ይቀበላል ፡ ፡ ከችሮታውም ይጨምርላቸዋል ፡ ፡ ከሓዲዎቹም ለእነርሱ ብርቱ ቅጣት አልላቸው ፡ ፡

( in it ) their supplication will be : ' exaltations to you , allah ' and their greeting will be : ' peace ' they will end their supplication with ' praise be to allah , lord of the all the worlds '
በእርሷም ውስጥ ጸሎታቸው ጌታችን ሆይ ! ጥራት ይገባህ ( ማለት ) ነው ፡ ፡ በእርሷ ውስጥ መከባበሪያቸውም ሰላም መባባል ነው ፤ የመጨረሻ ጸሎታቸውም ምስጋና ለዓለማት ጌታ ይሁን ( ማለት ) ነው ፡ ፡
