በውስጧ ያለችውን ሰልሰቢል ተብላ የምትጠራውን ምንጭ ፡ ፡

he was created of a gushing fluid ,
ከተስፈንጣሪ ውሃ ተፈጠረ ፡ ፡

and by oath of a passage , written –
በተጻፈው መጽሐፍም ፡ ፡

and lo ! thou art of a tremendous nature .
አንተም በታላቅ ጠባይ ላይ ነህ ፡ ፡

so give them good tidings of a painful chastisement ,
በአሳማሚ ቅጣትም አብስራቸው ፡ ፡

given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling .
በጣም ከፈላች ምንጭ ይጋታሉ ፡ ፡

and many a generation we did destroy before them , who exceeded them in wealth and pomp !
ከእነሱም በፊት ከክፍለ ዘመናት ሕዝቦች እነሱ በቁሳቁስና በትርኢትም በጣም ያማሩትን ብዙዎችን አጥፍተናል ፡ ፡

and how many a generation we destroyed before them , who were fairer in furnishing and outward show !
ከእነሱም በፊት ከክፍለ ዘመናት ሕዝቦች እነሱ በቁሳቁስና በትርኢትም በጣም ያማሩትን ብዙዎችን አጥፍተናል ፡ ፡
