wherefore i desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
ስለዚህ ስለ እናንተ ስላለ መከራዬ እንዳትታክቱ እለምናችኋለሁ፥ ክብራችሁ ነውና።

and not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
ይህም ብቻ አይደለም፥ ነገር ግን መከራ ትዕግሥትን እንዲያደርግ፥ ትዕግሥትም ፈተናን ፈተናም ተስፋን እንዲያደርግ እያወቅን፥ በመከራችን ደግሞ እንመካለን፤

so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of god for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
ስለዚህ በምትታገሱበት በስደታችሁና በመከራችሁ ሁሉ ከመጽናታችሁና ከእምነታችሁ የተነሣ በእግዚአብሔር አብያተ ክርስቲያናት ስለ እናንተ ራሳችን እንመካለን።

and we sent no prophet unto any township but we did afflict its folk with tribulation and adversity that haply they might grow humble .
