« በትክክለኛ ሚዛንም መዝኑ ፡ ፡

in writings wherein are scriptures , absolutely true and unerring .
በውስጧ ቀጥተኛ የኾኑ ጽሑፎች ያሉባት የኾነችን ፡ ፡

we granted them our mercy and bestowed on them true and high renown .
ለእነሱም ከችሮታችን ሰጠናቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ከፍ ያለ ምስጉን ዝናን አደረግንላቸው ፡ ፡

and we gave them our mercy , and assigned for them a true and high repute .
ለእነሱም ከችሮታችን ሰጠናቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ከፍ ያለ ምስጉን ዝናን አደረግንላቸው ፡ ፡

the promise of god is true . and do not let those who lack certainty belittle you .
ስለዚህ ታገስ ፡ ፡ የአላህ ቀጠሮ እውነት ነውና ፡ ፡ እነዚያም በትንሣኤ የሚያረጋግጡት አያቅልሉህ ፡ ፡

but if they repent and correct themselves , leave them alone . indeed , allah is ever accepting of repentance and merciful .
እነዚያንም ከእናንተ ውስጥ ( ዝሙትን ) የሚሠሩዋትን አሰቃዩዋቸው ፡ ፡ ቢጸጸቱና ሥራቸውንም ቢያሳምሩ ከእነርሱ ተገቱ ( አታሰቃዩዋቸው ) ፡ ፡ አላህ ጸጸትን ተቀባይ አዛኝ ነውና ፡ ፡

thus , the words of our lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment .
« በእኛም ላይ የጌታችን ቃል ተረጋገጠብን ፤ እኛ ( ሁላችንም ቅጣቱን ) ቀማሾች ነን ፡ ፡

o people of the book , why do you mix the false with the true , and hide the truth knowingly ?
« የመጽሐፉ ሰዎች ሆይ ! እውነቱን በውሸት ለምን ትቀላቅላላችሁ እውነቱንም እናንተ የምታውቁ ስትኾኑ ለምን ትደብቃላችሁ »

iblis found his estimate of them to be true , and they followed him , except a party of the believers .
ኢብሊስም በእነርሱ ላይ ምኞቱን በእርግጥ ፈጸመ ፤ ከአመኑትም የሆኑት ጭፍሮች በስተቀር ተከተሉት ፡ ፡

allah s promise ’ is indeed true . and do not let yourself be upset by those who have no conviction .
ስለዚህ ታገስ ፡ ፡ የአላህ ቀጠሮ እውነት ነውና ፡ ፡ እነዚያም በትንሣኤ የሚያረጋግጡት አያቅልሉህ ፡ ፡

and assuredly we have tempted those who were before them . so allah will surely know those who are true and he will surely know the liars .
እነዚያንም ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩትን በእርግጥ ፈትነናል ፡ ፡ እነዚያንም እውነት የተናገሩትን አላህ በእርግጥ ያውቃል ፡ ፡ ውሸታሞቹንም ያውቃል ፡ ፡

say , yes ‘ ! by my lord , it is true , and you cannot frustrate [ him ] . ’
እርሱም « እውነት ነውን » ( ሲሉ ) ይጠይቁሃል ፡ ፡ « አዎን ፤ በጌታዬ እምላለሁ ፤ እርሱ እውነት ነው ፡ ፡ እናንተም አምላጮች አይደላችሁም ፤ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

so be thou patient ; surely god 's promise is true ; and let not those who have not sure faith make thee unsteady .
ስለዚህ ታገስ ፡ ፡ የአላህ ቀጠሮ እውነት ነውና ፡ ፡ እነዚያም በትንሣኤ የሚያረጋግጡት አያቅልሉህ ፡ ፡

and send to them , o lord , an apostle from among them to impart your messages to them , and teach them the book and the wisdom , and correct them in every way ; for indeed you are mighty and wise .
« ጌታችን ሆይ ! በውስጣቸውም ከነሱው የኾነን መልክተኛ በነርሱ ላይ አንቀጾችህን የሚያነብላቸውን መጽሐፍንና ጥበብንም የሚያስተምራቸውን ( ከክህደት ) የሚያጠራቸውንም ላክ ፤ አንተ አሸናፊው ጥበበኛው አንተ ብቻ ነህና » ( የሚሉም ሲኾኑ ) ፡ ፡

how shall allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and had witnessed that the messenger is true and clear signs had come to them ? and allah does not guide the wrongdoing people .
ከእምነታቸውና መልክተኛውም እውነት መኾኑን ከመሰከሩ የተብራሩ አንቀጾችም ከመጡላቸው በኋላ የካዱን ሕዝቦች አላህ እንዴት ያቀናል ! አላህ በዳዮችንም ሕዝቦች አያቀናም ፡ ፡

except for those who repent and correct themselves and make evident [ what they concealed ] . those - i will accept their repentance , and i am the accepting of repentance , the merciful .
እነዚያ ( ከመደበቅ ) የተጸጸቱና ( ሥራቸውን ) ያሳመሩም ( የደበቁትን ) የገለጹም ብቻ ሲቀሩ ፡ ፡ እነዚህም በነሱ ላይ ( ጸጸታቸውን ) እቀበላለሁ ፤ እኔም ጸጸትን በጣም ተቀባይ አዛኙ ነኝ ፡ ፡

and nuh cried out to his lord and said : my lord ! surely my son is of my family , and thy promise is surely true , and thou art the most just of the judges .
ኑሕም ጌታውን ጠራ ፡ ፡ አለም « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ልጄ ከቤተሰቤ ነው ፡ ፡ ኪዳንህም እውነት ነው ፡ ፡ አንተም ከፈራጆች ሁሉ ይበልጥ ዐዋቂ ነህ ፡ ፡ »

and noah called to his lord . he said , “ o my lord , my son is of my family , and your promise is true , and you are the wisest of the wise . ”
ኑሕም ጌታውን ጠራ ፡ ፡ አለም « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ልጄ ከቤተሰቤ ነው ፡ ፡ ኪዳንህም እውነት ነው ፡ ፡ አንተም ከፈራጆች ሁሉ ይበልጥ ዐዋቂ ነህ ፡ ፡ »

' we wish to eat of it ' they said , ' so that we can satisfy our hearts and know that what you said to us is true , and that we become witnesses to it '
« ከእርሷ ልንበላ ልቦቻችንም ሊረኩ እውነት ያልከንም መኾንህን ልናውቅና በእርሷም ላይ ከመስካሪዎች ልንኾን እንፈልጋለን » አሉ ፡ ፡
