ባለፈው አንድ ቀን

they shall receive what their lord will bestow on them . they have done good works in the past ,
ያንን ጌታቸው የሰጣቸውን ተቀባዮች ኾነው ፤ ( በገነት ውስጥ ይኾናሉ ) ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ከዚህ በፊት መልካም ሰሪዎች ነበሩና ፡ ፡

that is on account of what you had done in the past ; yet god is not unjust to his creatures .
ይህ እጆችህ ባስቀደሙት ኀጢአት አላህም ለባሮቹ ፈጽሞ በዳይ ባለመሆኑ ነው ( ይባላል ) ፡ ፡

we have destroyed the likes of you in the past : so is there any one who will be warned ?
ብጤዎቻችሁንም በእርግጥ አጠፋን ፡ ፡ ተገሳጭም አልለን ?

they have rejected it in the past , and made allegations from a far-off place .
በፊትም በእርሱ በእርግጥ ክደዋል ፡ ፡ ከሩቅ ስፍራም በግምት ንግግርን ይጥላሉ ፡ ፡

and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past .
ለሥራቸው ተደሳቾች ናቸው ፡ ፡

they said : have you done this to our gods , o ibrahim ?
« ኢብራሂም ሆይ ! በአማልክቶቻችን ይህንን የሠራህ አንተ ነህን » አሉት ፡ ፡

allah wants to make all this clear to you , and to guide you to the ways which the righteous have followed in the past . he will turn graciously towards you .
አላህ ( የሃይማኖታችሁን ሕግጋት ) ሊያብራራላችሁ ከእናንተ በፊትም የነበሩትን ነቢያት ደንቦች ሊመራችሁ በእናንተም ላይ ጸጸትን ሊቀበል ይሻል ፡ ፡ አላህም ዐዋቂ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

but they will never wish for death because of what they had done in the past , and god knows the sinners well .
እጆቻቸውም ባስቀደሙት ኃጢአት ምክንያት በፍጹም አይመኙትም ፡ ፡ አላህም በዳዮቹን ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

and they will never long for it , because of the evil deeds they have done in the past ; and allah knows the unjust , very well .
እጆቻቸውም ባሳለፉት ( በሠሩት ) ምክንያት ምን ጊዜም ፈጽሞ አይመኙትም ፤ አላህም በዳዮችን ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

are your people who deny the truth better than those ? or have you been given immunity in the scriptures ?
ከሓዲዎቻችሁ ከእነዚህ በላጮች ናቸውን ? ወይስ ለናንተ በመጽሐፎች ውስጥ ( የተነገረ ) ነፃነት አላችሁን ?

have you not considered the free movements of the birds high in the sky above ? what keeps them aloft except god ?
ወደ በራሪዎች በሰማይ አየር ውስጥ ( ለመብረር ) የተገሩ ሲኾኑ ( ከመውደቅ ) አላህ እንጂ ሌላ የማይዛቸው ኾነው አይመለከቱምን በዚህ ውስጥ ለሚያምኑ ሕዝቦች በእርግጥ ተዓምራቶች አሉ ፡ ፡

such was the law of god in the past ; and you shall find no change in the law of god .
አላህ ያችን ከዚህ በፊት በእርግጥ ያለፈችውን ልማድ ደነገገ ፡ ፡ ለአላህም ልማድ ለውጥን አታገኝም ፡ ፡

are your unbelievers ( of makkah ) any better than they ? or have you been granted any immunity in the scriptures ?
ከሓዲዎቻችሁ ከእነዚህ በላጮች ናቸውን ? ወይስ ለናንተ በመጽሐፎች ውስጥ ( የተነገረ ) ነፃነት አላችሁን ?

have you not considered those who exchanged the favor of allah for disbelief and settled their people [ in ] the home of ruin ?
ወደእነዚያ የአላህን ጸጋ በክህደት ወደ ለወጡት ሕዝቦቻቸውንም በጥፋት አገር ወዳሰፈሩት ( ወደ ቁረይሾች ) አላየህምን

and between them and their desires a barrier shall be placed as was done in the past with people of their ilk ; for they were indeed in disquieting doubt .
ከዚህ ቀደም በመሰሎቻቸው እንደ ተሠራውም ብጤ በእነርሱና በሚፈልጉት መካከል ተጋረደ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ በእርግጥ በአወላዋይ ጥርጣሬ ውስጥ ነበሩና ፡ ፡

are your faithless better than those ? have you [ been granted ] [ some sort of ] immunity in the scriptures ?
ከሓዲዎቻችሁ ከእነዚህ በላጮች ናቸውን ? ወይስ ለናንተ በመጽሐፎች ውስጥ ( የተነገረ ) ነፃነት አላችሁን ?

although they had made a pledged to god , in the past , that they will not turn their backs . a pledge to god is a responsibility .
ጀርባዎችንም ላያዞሩ ከዚያ በፊት በእርግጥ አላህን ቃል ኪዳን የተጋቡ ነበሩ ፡ ፡ የአላህም ቃል ኪዳን የሚጠየቁበት ነው ፡ ፡

o children of israel ! remember my favour which i bestowed upon you and that i preferred you to the ' alamin ( mankind and jinns ) ( of your time period , in the past ) .
የእስራኤል ልጆች ሆይ ! ያችን በናንተ ላይ የለገስኳትን ጸጋዬንና እኔም በዓለማት ላይ ያበለጥኳችሁ ( አባቶቻችሁን በጊዜያቸው ከነበሩት ዓለማት ያበለጥኩዋቸው ) መኾኔን አስታውሱ ፡ ፡

and do not wed the women your fathers had wed . what happened in the past is now past : it was lewd and abhorrent , and only the way of evil .
ከሴቶችም አባቶቻችሁ ያገቡዋቸውን አታግቡ ፡ ፡ ( ትቀጡበታላችሁ ) ፡ ፡ ያለፈው ሲቀር ፡ ፡ እርሱ መጥፎና የተጠላ ሥራ ነውና ፡ ፡ መንገድነቱም ከፋ !
