« ጌታችን ያ ለፍጥረቱ ነገርን ሁሉ ( የሚያስፈልገውን ) የሰጠ ከዚያም የመራው ነው » አለው ፡ ፡

as for him who has been rebellious
የካደ ሰውማ ፣

and that it is he who has given wealth and contentment ?
እነሆ እርሱም አከበረ ፣ ጥሪተኛም አደረገ ፡ ፡

fear him who has bestowed on you what you know ,
« ያንንም በምታውቁት ( ጸጋ ) ያጣቀማችሁን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

and be careful of ( your duty to ) him who has given you abundance of what you know .
« ያንንም በምታውቁት ( ጸጋ ) ያጣቀማችሁን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

be wary of him who has provided you with whatever you know ,
« ያንንም በምታውቁት ( ጸጋ ) ያጣቀማችሁን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

fear him who has aided you with all that you know --
« ያንንም በምታውቁት ( ጸጋ ) ያጣቀማችሁን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

why should i not worship him who has originated me , and to whom you shall be brought back ?
« ያንንም የፈጠረኝን ፤ ወደርሱም የምትመለሱበትን ( ጌታ ) የማልገዛ ለእኔ ምን አለኝ ? » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

« ያንንም የፈጠረኝን ፤ ወደርሱም የምትመለሱበትን ( ጌታ ) የማልገዛ ለእኔ ምን አለኝ ? » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

" yea , fear him who has bestowed on you freely all that ye know .
« ያንንም በምታውቁት ( ጸጋ ) ያጣቀማችሁን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

it is a sending down from him who has created the earth , and the high heavens ,
ምድርንና የላይኛዎቹን ሰማያት ከፈጠረ አምላክ ተወረደ ፡ ፡

" why should i not worship him who has brought me into being , and to whom you shall all be recalled ?
« ያንንም የፈጠረኝን ፤ ወደርሱም የምትመለሱበትን ( ጌታ ) የማልገዛ ለእኔ ምን አለኝ ? » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

it is he who has given you life , he will make you die and will make you live again . surely the human being is ungrateful .
እርሱም ያ ሕያው ያደረጋችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ይገድላችኋል ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ሕያው ያደርጋችኋል ፡ ፡ ሰው በእርግጥ በጣም ከሓዲ ነው ፡ ፡

praise be to allah who has given me ishmael and isaac in my old age ! indeed , my lord is the hearer of the supplication .
« ለእዚያ ከሽምግልና በኋላ ኢስማዒልን ኢስሐቅንም ለእኔ ለሰጠኝ አላህ ምሰጋና ይገባው ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ልመናን በእርግጥ ሰሚ ነውና ፡ ፡

is he who has been a believer like unto him who has been ungodly ? they are not equal .
አማኝ የሆነ ሰው አመጸኛ እንደ ሆነ ሰው ነውን ? አይስተካከሉም ፡ ፡

and if they wish to deceive you , then indeed allah is sufficient for you ; it is he who has given you strength , with his help and with the muslims .
ሊያታልሉህም ቢፈልጉ አላህ በቂህ ነው ፡ ፡ እርሱ ያ በእርዳታውና በምእምናን ያበረታህ ነው ፡ ፡

hast thou seen him who has taken his caprice to be his god ? wilt thou be a guardian over them ?
ፍላጎቱን አምላኩ አድርጎ የያዘውን ሰው አየህን አንተ በእርሱ ላይ ጠባቂ ትኾናለህን

" and keep your duty to him , fear him who has aided you with all ( good things ) that you know .
« ያንንም በምታውቁት ( ጸጋ ) ያጣቀማችሁን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

do they not realize that god , who has created the heavens and the earth , has the power to create their like ? he has given them life for an appointed time of which there is no doubt .
ያ ሰማያትንና ምድርን የፈጠረ አላህ ብጤያቸውን በመፍጠር ላይ ቻይ መኾኑን በእርሱ ጥርጣሬ የሌለበትም ጊዜ ( ለሞትም ለትንሣኤም ) ለእነርሱ የወሰነ መኾኑን አላወቁምን በደለኞችም ከክህደት በቀር እምቢ አሉ ፡ ፡
