but they say the same as the ancients said ,
ይልቁንም ( የመካ ከሓዲዎች ) የፊተኞቹ ሕዝቦች እንዳሉት ብጤ አሉ ፡ ፡

on the contrary , they said the same as what the former people used to say .
ይልቁንም ( የመካ ከሓዲዎች ) የፊተኞቹ ሕዝቦች እንዳሉት ብጤ አሉ ፡ ፡

if they believe in the same as you have believed in , then they have been guided . but if they turn away , then they are in schism .
በርሱ ባመናችሁበት ብጤ ቢያምኑ በእርግጥ ተመሩ ፡ ፡ ቢዞሩም እነርሱ በጭቅጭቅ ውስጥ ብቻ ናቸው ፡ ፡ እነርሱንም አላህ ይበቃሃል ፤ እርሱም ሰሚው ዐዋቂው ነው ፡ ፡

are we to make those who believe and do good works the same as those who corrupt the earth ? are we to make the righteous as the wicked ?
በእውነቱ እነዚያን ያመኑትንና መልካሞችን የሠሩትን በምድር ውስጥ እንደሚያጠፉት እናደርጋለን ? ወይስ አላህን ፊረዎቹን እንደ ከሓዲዎቹ እናደርጋለን ?

shall we treat those who believe and do good works the same as those who spread corruption in the land ; shall we treat the pious the same as the wicked ?
በእውነቱ እነዚያን ያመኑትንና መልካሞችን የሠሩትን በምድር ውስጥ እንደሚያጠፉት እናደርጋለን ? ወይስ አላህን ፊረዎቹን እንደ ከሓዲዎቹ እናደርጋለን ?

do you consider giving drink to the pilgrims and inhabiting the sacred mosque is the same as one who believes in allah and the last day , and struggles in the way of allah ? these are not held equal by allah .
ካዕባን ጎብኝዎችን ማጠጣትንና የተከበረውን መስጊድ መሥራትን በአላህና በመጨረሻው ቀን እንዳመነና በአላህ መንገድ እንደታገለ ሰው ( እምነትና ትግል ) አደረጋችሁን አላህ ዘንድ አይተካከሉም ፡ ፡ አላህም በዳዮች ሕዝቦችን አይመራም ፡ ፡

and abraham enjoined his sons to do the same , as did jacob , " my sons , god has chosen this religion for you ; so do not let death overtake you , except when you are in a state of submission . "
በርሷም ( በሕግጋቲቱ ) ኢብራሂም ልጆቹን አዘዘ ፡ ፡ ያዕቁብም ( እንደዚሁ ልጆቹን አዘዘ ) ፡ ፡ « ልጆቼ ሆይ ! አላህ ለናንተ ሃይማኖትን መረጠ ፤ ስለዚህ እናንተ ሙስሊሞች ኾናችሁ እንጂ አትሙቱ » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡
