you are what you eat
ምሳ በልተሃል

and what you do not see ,
በማታዩትም ነገር ፡ ፡

it is most hateful to god that you say what you do not do .
የማትሠሩን ነገር መናገራችሁ አላህ ዘንድ መጠላቱ ተለቀ ፡ ፡

o you who believe ! why do you say what you do not do ?
እላንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! የማትሠሩትን ነገር ለምን ትናገራላችሁ ?

o you who have faith ! why do you say what you do not do ?
እላንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! የማትሠሩትን ነገር ለምን ትናገራላችሁ ?

believers , why do you preach what you do not practice ?
እላንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! የማትሠሩትን ነገር ለምን ትናገራላችሁ ?

and that is paradise which you are made to inherit for what you used to do .
ይህችም ያቺ ትሠሩት በነበራችሁት ዋጋ የተሰጣችኋት ገነት ናት ፡ ፡

great is hatred in the sight of allah that you say what you do not do .
የማትሠሩን ነገር መናገራችሁ አላህ ዘንድ መጠላቱ ተለቀ ፡ ፡

o you who believe , why do you profess what you do not practise ?
እላንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! የማትሠሩትን ነገር ለምን ትናገራላችሁ ?

in replacing you with your likes , and transforming you into what you do not know .
ብጤዎቻችሁን በመለወጥና በዚያ በማታውቁትም ( ቅርጽ ) እናንተን በመፍጠር ላይ ( አንሸነፍም ) ፡ ፡

he commands you to do evil and vice , and to say about god what you do not know .
( እርሱ ) የሚያዛችሁ በኃጢኣትና በጸያፍ ነገር በአላህም ላይ የማታውቁትን እንድትናገሩ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

and how can you have patience for what you do not encompass in knowledge ? "
« በዕውቀትም በእርሱ ባላዳረስከው ነገር ላይ እንዴት ትታገሳለህ »

in the matter of exchanging you for others , and to transform you into what you do not know .
ብጤዎቻችሁን በመለወጥና በዚያ በማታውቁትም ( ቅርጽ ) እናንተን በመፍጠር ላይ ( አንሸነፍም ) ፡ ፡

he only enjoins you evil and indecency , and that you may speak against allah what you do not know .
( እርሱ ) የሚያዛችሁ በኃጢኣትና በጸያፍ ነገር በአላህም ላይ የማታውቁትን እንድትናገሩ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

and horses , mules and asses , for you to ride them , and for pomp , and he creates what you do not know .
ፈረሶችንም ፣ በቅሎዎችንም ፣ አህዮችንም ልትቀመጡዋቸውና ልታጌጡባቸው ( ፈጠረላችሁ ) ፡ ፡ የማታውቁትንም ድንቅ ነገር ይፈጥራል ፡ ፡

i bring to you the messages of my lord , and give you sincere advice , for i know from god what you do not know .
« የጌታዬን መልክቶች አደርስላችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም እመክራችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ ከአላህም በኩል የማታውቁትን ዐውቃለሁ ፡ ፡ »

enter it , and it will be the same for you whether you are patient or impatient . you are only being requited for what you used to do . ’
ግቧት ታገሱም ወይም አትታገሡ በእናንተ ላይ እኩል ነው ፡ ፡ የምትምመነዱት ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን ( ፍዳ ) ብቻ ነው ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

for he will only instruct you towards the evil and the shameful , and that you fabricate matters concerning allah , what you do not know .
( እርሱ ) የሚያዛችሁ በኃጢኣትና በጸያፍ ነገር በአላህም ላይ የማታውቁትን እንድትናገሩ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

do not follow what you do not know ; for the ear and the eye and the heart shall all be called to account .
ለአንተም በርሱ ዕውቀት የሌለህን ነገር አትከተል ፡ ፡ መስሚያ ፣ ማያም ፣ ልብም እነዚህ ሁሉ ( ባለቤታቸው ) ከእነሱ ተጠያቂ ነውና ፡ ፡

( sent ) to convey to you the messages of my lord and to advise you , for i know from allah what you do not know .
« የጌታዬን መልክቶች አደርስላችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም እመክራችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ ከአላህም በኩል የማታውቁትን ዐውቃለሁ ፡ ፡ »
