but if you do not believe in me , keep away from me . ”
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

but if you do not believe me , then leave me alone . "
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

but if they disobey you , say , ‘ i am absolved of what you do . ’
« እንቢ » ቢሉህም « እኔ ከምትሠሩት ንጹሕ ነኝ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

and if you do not believe me , then leave me '
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

but if they dispute with you , say , “ god is fully aware of what you do . ”
ቢከራከሩህም « አላህ የምትሰሩትን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነው » በላቸው ፡ ፡

if you do not believe in me , leave me alone . "
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

but if you repeat it , we shall do the same . we have constituted hell as prison for unbelievers .
( በመጽሐፉም አልን ) « ብትጸጸቱ ፡ - ጌታችሁ ሊያዝንላችሁ ይከጀላል ፡ ፡ ( ወደ ማጥፋት ) ብትመለሱም እንመለሳለን ፡ ፡ ገሀነምንም ለከሓዲዎች ማሰሪያ አደርገናል ፡ ፡

if you do a thing openly or do it in secret , then surely allah is cognizant of all things .
ማንኛውንም ነገር ብትገልጹ ወይም ብትደብቁት ( በርሱ ይመነዳችኋል ) ፡ ፡ አላህ ነገሩን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነውና ፡ ፡

if you do good openly or do it in secret or pardon an evil then surely allah is pardoning , powerful .
ደግ ነገርን ብትገልጹ ወይም ብትደብቁት ወይም ከመጥፎ ነገር ( ከበደል ) ይቅርታ ብታደርጉ አላህ ይቅር ባይ ኃያል ነው ፡ ፡

if you punish them , they are your servants ; but if you forgive them , you are the mighty and wise . ”
« ብትቀጣቸው እነርሱ ባሮችህ ናቸው ፡ ፡ ለነርሱ ብትምርም አንተ አሸናፊው ጥበበኛው ነህ » ( ይላል ) ፡ ፡

but if you cannot do it , and you can never do it , then guard yourselves against the fire whose fuel is men and stones , prepared for those who deny the truth .
( ይህንን ) ባትሠሩ ፈጽሞም አትሠሩትምና ያችን መቀጣጠያዋ ሰዎችና ድንጋዮች የኾነችውን እሳት ተጠበቁ ፤ ለከሓዲዎች ተደግሳለች ፡ ፡

and obey god , and obey the messenger ; but if you turn your backs , it is only for the messenger to deliver the manifest message .
አላህንም ተገዙ ፤ መልክተኛውንም ታዘዙ ፤ ብትዞሩም ( መልክተኛውን አትጎዱም ) ፤ በመልክተኛውም ላይ ያለበት ግልጽ ማድረስ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

" but if you believe me not , then keep away from me and leave me alone . "
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

but if you do not and — you will not — then beware the fire whose fuel is people and stones , prepared for the disbelievers .
( ይህንን ) ባትሠሩ ፈጽሞም አትሠሩትምና ያችን መቀጣጠያዋ ሰዎችና ድንጋዮች የኾነችውን እሳት ተጠበቁ ፤ ለከሓዲዎች ተደግሳለች ፡ ፡

and , indeed , that is a most mighty oath , if you only knew --
እርሱም ብታወቁ ታላቅ መሓላ ነው ፡ ፡

' but if you cry me lies , nations cried lies before you ; and it is only for the messenger to deliver the manifest message . '
« ብታስተባብሉም ከፊታችሁ የነበሩት ሕዝቦች በእርግጥ አስተባብለዋል ፡ ፡ በመልክተኛውም ላይ ግልጽ ማድረስ እንጂ ሌላ የለበትም ፡ ፡ »

and when your lord proclaimed , " if you are thankful , surely i will increase you , but if you are thankless my chastisement is surely terrible . " '
ጌታችሁም « ብታመሰግኑ በእርግጥ እጨምርላችኋለሁ ብትክዱም ( እቀጣችኋለሁ ) ቅጣቴ በእርግጥ ብርቱ ነውና » በማለት ባስታወቀ ጊዜ ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡

and when your lord proclaimed : “ if you give thanks , i will grant you increase ; but if you are ungrateful , my punishment is severe . ”
ጌታችሁም « ብታመሰግኑ በእርግጥ እጨምርላችኋለሁ ብትክዱም ( እቀጣችኋለሁ ) ቅጣቴ በእርግጥ ብርቱ ነውና » በማለት ባስታወቀ ጊዜ ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡

but if you do not find anyone in them , do not enter them until you are given permission . and if you are told : ‘ turn back , ’ then do turn back .
በውስጧም አንድንም ሰው ባታገኙ ለእናንተ እስከሚፈቀድላችሁ ድረስ አትግቧት ፡ ፡ ለእናንተ ተመለሱ ብትባሉም ተመለሱ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ለእናንተ የተሻለ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህም የምትሠሩትን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

and obey allah and obey the apostle , but if you turn back , then upon our apostle devolves only the clear delivery ( of the message ) .
አላህንም ተገዙ ፤ መልክተኛውንም ታዘዙ ፤ ብትዞሩም ( መልክተኛውን አትጎዱም ) ፤ በመልክተኛውም ላይ ያለበት ግልጽ ማድረስ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡
