and we have made the night a covering .
ሌሊቱንም ልባስ አደረግን ፡ ፡

and we have no intercessors now ,
ከአማላጆችም ለእኛ ምንም የለንም ፡ ፡

and we have created you in pairs ,
ብዙ ዓይነቶችም አድርገን ፈጠርናችሁ ፡ ፡

and we have recorded everything in a book ,
ነገሩንም ሁሉ የተጻፈ ሲኾን አጠቃለልነው ፡ ፡

and we have not been feeding the poor .
« ለድኾችም የምናበላ አልነበርንም ፡ ፡

and we have been wading with the waders .
« ከዘባራቂዎቹም ጋር እንዘባርቅ ነበርን ፡ ፡

and remember thou the name of thy lord in the morning and in the evening .
የጌታህንም ስም በጧትና ከቀትር በላይ አውሳ ፡ ፡

and we have been belying the day of requital .
« በፍርዱ ቀንም እናስተባብል ነበርን ፡ ፡

by way of admonition , and we have never been oppressors .
( ይህች ) ግሳፄ ናት ፡ ፡ በዳዮችም አልነበርንም ፡ ፡

and we have builded over you seven strong heavens .
ከበላያችሁም ሰባትን ብርቱዎች ( ሰማያት ) ገነባን ፡ ፡

and we have guarded it from every accursed devil :
ከተባረረ ሰይጣንም ሁሉ ጠብቀናታል ፡ ፡

and we have come to you with the truth , and surely we are truthful ,
« እውነትንም ይዘን መጣንህ ፡ ፡ እኛም በእርግጥ እውነተኞች ነን ፡ ፡

and we have brought unto thee the truth , and verily we say sooth .
« እውነትንም ይዘን መጣንህ ፡ ፡ እኛም በእርግጥ እውነተኞች ነን ፡ ፡

and we have created for them the like of it in which they board .
ከመሰሉም በእርሱ የሚሳፈሩበትን ለእነርሱ ፈጠርንላቸው ፡ ፡

in houses which allah has allowed to be raised up , and his name to be remembered therein . in the morning and evening
አላህ እንድትከበርና ስሙ በውስጧ እንዲወሳ ባዘዘው ቤቶች ውስጥ ( አወድሱት ) ፡ ፡ በውስጧ በጧትና በማታ ለእርሱ ያጠራሉ ፡ ፡

and remember your lord within yourself , humbly and fearfully , and quietly , in the morning and the evening , and do not be of the neglectful .
ጌታህንም በምስጢር ተዋድቀህና ፈርተህ ከጩኸት በታችም በኾነ ቃል በጧትም በማታም አውሳው ፡ ፡ ከዘንጊዎቹም አትኹን ፡ ፡

and we have created for them similar ( vessels ) on which they ride .
ከመሰሉም በእርሱ የሚሳፈሩበትን ለእነርሱ ፈጠርንላቸው ፡ ፡

and unto allah falleth prostrate whosoever is in the heavens and the earth , willingly or unwillingly , as do their shadows in the morning and the evening hours .
በሰማያትና በምድርም ያሉት ሁሉ በውድም ሆነ በግድ ለአላህ ይሰግዳሉ ፡ ጥላዎቻቸውም በጧቶችና በሠርኮች ይሰግዳሉ ፡ ፡

and glorify him both in the mornings and in the evenings .
በቀኑ መጀመሪያና መጨረሻም አጥሩት ፡ ፡

so he came out to his people from the prayer chamber and signaled to them to exalt [ allah ] in the morning and afternoon .
ከምኩራቡም በሕዝቦቹ ላይ ወጣ ፡ ፡ በ × ትና በማታ ( ጌታችሁን ) አወድሱ በማለትም ወደነሱ ጠቀሰ ፡ ፡
