ገሀነምን በእርግጥ ታያላችሁ ፡ ፡

you would see the fire of hell .
ገሀነምን በእርግጥ ታያላችሁ ፡ ፡

so that you would maintain justice .
በሚዛን ( ስትመዝኑ ) እንዳትበድሉ ፡ ፡

for whosoever of you would go straight ,
ከናንተ ቀጥተኛ መኾንን ለሻ ሰው ( መገሰጫ ነው ) ፡ ፡

then none among you would be his saviour .
ከእናንተም ውስጥ ከእርሱ ላይ ከልካዮች ምንም አይኖሩም ፡ ፡

we created you — if only you would believe !
እኛ ፈጠርናችሁ አታምኑምን ?

they wish you would compromise , then , they would compromise .
ብትመሳሰላቸውና ቢመሳሰሉህ ተመኙ ፡ ፡

and not one of you would have withheld us from punishing him .
ከእናንተም ውስጥ ከእርሱ ላይ ከልካዮች ምንም አይኖሩም ፡ ፡

and not one of you would have been able to stop ( us ) .
ከእናንተም ውስጥ ከእርሱ ላይ ከልካዮች ምንም አይኖሩም ፡ ፡

say , “ my lord , if you would show me what they are promised .
( ሙሐመድ ሆይ ! ) በል « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! የሚያስፈራሩበትን ( ቅጣት ) ብታሳየኝ ፡ ፡

none of you would be able to prevent us from doing this to him .
ከእናንተም ውስጥ ከእርሱ ላይ ከልካዮች ምንም አይኖሩም ፡ ፡

and not one of you would have been able to withhold us from doing so .
ከእናንተም ውስጥ ከእርሱ ላይ ከልካዮች ምንም አይኖሩም ፡ ፡

afterwards , we forgave you so that you would perhaps appreciate our favors .
ከዚያም ከዚህ በኋላ እናንተ ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ ከናንተ ምሕረት አደረግን ፡ ፡

' come forth betimes upon your tillage , if you would pluck ! '
« ቆራጮች እንደ ኾናችሁ በእርሻቸሁ ላይ ማልዱ » በማለት ፡ ፡

if we will , we would make it broken stubble and you would remain wondering ,
ብነሻ ኖሮ ደረቅ ስብርብር ባደረግነውና የምትደነቁም በኾናችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡

and if we had not strengthened you , you would have almost inclined to them a little .
ባላረጋንህም ኖሮ ወደነሱ ጥቂትን ( ዝንባሌ ) ልትዘነበል በእርግጥ በተቃረብክ ነበር ፡ ፡

and had we not made you stand firm , you would nearly have inclined to them a little .
ባላረጋንህም ኖሮ ወደነሱ ጥቂትን ( ዝንባሌ ) ልትዘነበል በእርግጥ በተቃረብክ ነበር ፡ ፡

[ saying ] , " go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit . "
« ቆራጮች እንደ ኾናችሁ በእርሻቸሁ ላይ ማልዱ » በማለት ፡ ፡

after them we made you their successors in the earth , so that we might see how you would do .
ከዚያም እንዴት እንደምትሠሩ ልንመለከት ከእነሱ በኋላ በምድር ላይ ምትኮች አደረግናችሁ ፡ ፡

did you think that we had created you only for play , and that you would never be returned to us '
