«Ահա մի սերմնացան ելաւ սերմանելու. եւ երբ նա սերմանում էր, մի մաս սերմ ընկաւ ճանապարհի եզերքին, եւ երկնքի թռչունը եկաւ եւ այն կերաւ:

Մովսէսն իր աներոջը պատմեց այն ամէնը, ինչ իսրայէլացիների համար Տէրն արել էր փարաւոնի ու եգիպտացիների դէմ, բոլոր այն չարչարանքները, որ իրենք կրել էին ճանապարհին, եւ թէ ինչպէս էր Տէրը փրկել իրենց:

Եկաւ Կափառնայում եւ, երբ տուն մտաւ, աշակերտներին հարցրեց. «Ճանապարհին իրար հետ ինչի՞ մասին էիք վիճում»:

agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
Եթէ մէկը քեզ հետ խնդիր ունի եւ քեզ դատի է կանչում, մինչ նրա հետ դեռ ճանապարհին ես, եղի՛ր իրաւախոհ կանխաւ. գուցէ նա քեզ դատաւորին յանձնի, եւ դատաւորը՝ դահճին, ու դու բանտ նետուես:

and to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.
Նոյնպէս եւ, հօրը տանելու համար, նա տուեց տասը էշի վրայ բեռնուած Եգիպտոսի բոլոր բարիքներից, պարէնով բեռնաւորուած տասը ջորի, նաեւ՝ հօր համար ճանապարհի պաշար:

and he said, blessed be the lord god of my master abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: i being in the way, the lord led me to the house of my master's brethren.
«Օրհնեալ է իմ տէր Աբրահամի Տէր Աստուածը, որ իմ տիրոջը չզրկեց իր արդարութիւնից ու ճշմարտութիւնից: Տէրն ինձ յաջողութիւն պարգեւեց իմ տիրոջ եղբօր տանը»:

and he said, my son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in the which ye go, then shall ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
Նա ասաց. «Իմ որդին ձեզ հետ չի իջնի, որովհետեւ սրա եղբայրը մեռաւ, եւ միայն սա է մնացել: Եթէ սա հիւանդանայ ձեր գնացած ճանապարհին, ապա դուք ինձ վշտով այս ծեր հասակում գերեզման կ՚իջեցնէք»:
