''আমার কাছে কথার রদবদল হয় না, এবং আমি আমার বান্দাদের প্রতি আদৌ অন্যায়াচারী নই।’’

he will say : ah , would that i had sent before me ( some provision ) for my life !
সে বলবে -- ''হায় আমার আফসোস! আমি যদি আগবাড়াতাম আমার এই জীবনের জন্য!’’

and seek help in patience and prayer ; and truly it is hard except for those who prostrate before me with sincerity .
আর তোমরা ধৈর ্ য ধরে ও নামায পড়ে সাহায ্ য কামনা করো । আর এটি নিশ ্ চয়ই বড় কঠিন , শুধু বিনয়ীদের ছাড়া , --

( the queen of sheba ) said to her officials , " a gracious letter has been dropped before me .
বিলকীস বলল , হে পরিষদবর ্ গ , আমাকে একটি সম ্ মানিত পত ্ র দেয়া হয়েছে ।

and we will surely cause you to dwell in the land after them : that is for him who feareth standing before me and feareth my threat .
''আর তাদের পরে আমরা দেশে অবশ্যই তোমাদের প্রতিষ্ঠিত করব। এটি তার জন্য যে ভয় করে আমার সামনে দাঁড়াতে, এবং ভয় করে আমার শাস্তির।’’

[ allah ] will say , " do not dispute before me , while i had already presented to you the warning .
আল ্ লাহ বলবেনঃ আমার সামনে বাকবিতন ্ ডা করো না আমি তো পূর ্ বেই তোমাদেরকে আযাব দ ্ বারা ভয় প ্ রদর ্ শন করেছিলাম ।

here is the book of those who are with me , and the book of those who have gone before me . " but most men do not know the truth and turn away .
অথবা , তারা কি তাঁকে ছেড়ে দিয়ে উপাস ্ যদের গ ্ রহণ করেছে ? বলো -- ''তোমাদের প্রমাণ নিয়ে এস। এ হচ্ছে স্মরণীয় বার্তা তাদের জন্য যারা আমার সঙ্গে রয়েছে এবং স্মরণীয় বার্তা আমার পূর্ববর্তীদের জন্যেও।’’ কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না, ফলে তারা সত্য থেকে বিমুখ থাকে।

this is a message for those with me , and a message of those before me . ” but most of them do not know the truth , so they turn away .
অথবা , তারা কি তাঁকে ছেড়ে দিয়ে উপাস ্ যদের গ ্ রহণ করেছে ? বলো -- ''তোমাদের প্রমাণ নিয়ে এস। এ হচ্ছে স্মরণীয় বার্তা তাদের জন্য যারা আমার সঙ্গে রয়েছে এবং স্মরণীয় বার্তা আমার পূর্ববর্তীদের জন্যেও।’’ কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না, ফলে তারা সত্য থেকে বিমুখ থাকে।

this is the remembrance of him who is with me , and the remembrance of those before me . nay , but the most part of them know not the truth , so therefore they are turning away .
অথবা , তারা কি তাঁকে ছেড়ে দিয়ে উপাস ্ যদের গ ্ রহণ করেছে ? বলো -- ''তোমাদের প্রমাণ নিয়ে এস। এ হচ্ছে স্মরণীয় বার্তা তাদের জন্য যারা আমার সঙ্গে রয়েছে এবং স্মরণীয় বার্তা আমার পূর্ববর্তীদের জন্যেও।’’ কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না, ফলে তারা সত্য থেকে বিমুখ থাকে।

likewise confirming the torah that has been before me and to make lawful to you some of the things you have been forbidden . i bring you a sign from your lord , therefore , fear allah and obey me .
''আর তওরাতের যা-কিছু আমার কাছে ছিল আমি তার প্রতিপাদক, আর আমি যাতে তোমাদের জন্য বৈধ করতে পারি কোনো কোনো বিষয় যা তোমাদের জন্য নিষিদ্ধ হয়েছিল, আর আমি তোমাদের কাছে এসেছি তোমাদের প্রভুর কাছ থেকে একটি বাণী নিয়ে, অতএব আল্লাহ্‌কে ভয়-শ্রদ্ধা করো ও আমার অনুগত হও।

and surely we will settle you in the land after them . this [ promise ] is for someone who is awed to stand before me and fears my threat . ’
''আর তাদের পরে আমরা দেশে অবশ্যই তোমাদের প্রতিষ্ঠিত করব। এটি তার জন্য যে ভয় করে আমার সামনে দাঁড়াতে, এবং ভয় করে আমার শাস্তির।’’

as for him who says to his parents , “ enough of you ! are you promising me that i will be raised up , when generations have passed away before me ? ”
আর যে তার মাতাপিতাকে বলে -- ''ধুত্তোর তোমাদের জন্য! তোমরা কি আমাকে ভয় দেখাচ্ছ যে আমাকে বের করা হবে, অথচ আমার আগে বহু মানববংশ গত হয়েই গেছে? আর তারা দুজনে আল্লাহ্‌র সাহায্য কামনা করবে -- ''ধিক্ তোমার জন্য! ঈমান আনো, আল্লাহ্‌র ওয়াদা অবশ্যই সত্য।’’ কিন্তু সে বলে -- ''এতো অতীতকালের উপকথা ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়।’’

and [ i have come ] confirming what was before me of the torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you . and i have come to you with a sign from your lord , so fear allah and obey me .

অথবা , তারা কি তাঁকে ছেড়ে দিয়ে উপাস ্ যদের গ ্ রহণ করেছে ? বলো -- ''তোমাদের প্রমাণ নিয়ে এস। এ হচ্ছে স্মরণীয় বার্তা তাদের জন্য যারা আমার সঙ্গে রয়েছে এবং স্মরণীয় বার্তা আমার পূর্ববর্তীদের জন্যেও।’’ কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না, ফলে তারা সত্য থেকে বিমুখ থাকে।

“ and verifying what lies before me of the torah , and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you . i have come to you with a sign from your lord ; so fear god , and obey me . ”
''আর তওরাতের যা-কিছু আমার কাছে ছিল আমি তার প্রতিপাদক, আর আমি যাতে তোমাদের জন্য বৈধ করতে পারি কোনো কোনো বিষয় যা তোমাদের জন্য নিষিদ্ধ হয়েছিল, আর আমি তোমাদের কাছে এসেছি তোমাদের প্রভুর কাছ থেকে একটি বাণী নিয়ে, অতএব আল্লাহ্‌কে ভয়-শ্রদ্ধা করো ও আমার অনুগত হও।

কারণ এই শীত তাঁর দূর্বল সদ্যজাত শিশুর অবস্থা আরও নাজুক করে তুলবে। তিনি একটি কর্দমাক্ত পাহাড়ে তাঁর তাবুর কাছে তাঁর চার বছর বয়সী বাচ্চার হাত ধরে দাঁড়িয়ে ছিলেন। আমরা তাঁকে জিজ্ঞেস করেছি এই শরণার্থী শিবিরে তাঁর গর্ভাবস্থায় তিনি কি ধরণের পরিস্থিতির মুখোমুখি হচ্ছেন।

" ' ( i have come to you ) , to attest the law which was before me . and to make lawful to you part of what was ( before ) forbidden to you ; i have come to you with a sign from your lord .
''আর তওরাতের যা-কিছু আমার কাছে ছিল আমি তার প্রতিপাদক, আর আমি যাতে তোমাদের জন্য বৈধ করতে পারি কোনো কোনো বিষয় যা তোমাদের জন্য নিষিদ্ধ হয়েছিল, আর আমি তোমাদের কাছে এসেছি তোমাদের প্রভুর কাছ থেকে একটি বাণী নিয়ে, অতএব আল্লাহ্‌কে ভয়-শ্রদ্ধা করো ও আমার অনুগত হও।
