[ shaitan ( satan ) ] commands you only what is evil and fahsha ( sinful ) , and that you should say against allah what you know not .
সে তো এ নির ্ দেশই তোমাদিগকে দেবে যে , তোমরা অন ্ যায় ও অশ ্ লীল কাজ করতে থাক এবং আল ্ লাহর প ্ রতি এমন সব বিষয়ে মিথ ্ যারোপ কর যা তোমরা জান না ।

তারা বলল , তুমি পবিত ্ র ! আমরা কোন কিছুই জানি না , তবে তুমি যা আমাদিগকে শিখিয়েছ ( সেগুলো ব ্ যতীত ) নিশ ্ চয় তুমিই প ্ রকৃত জ ্ ঞানসম ্ পন ্ ন , হেকমতওয়ালা ।

indeed in ibrahim , and those along with him , lay a good example for you follow – when they said to their people , “ indeed we are unconcerned with you and all what you worship besides allah ; we reject you , and between us and you has surfaced enmity and hatred for ever until you accept faith in the one allah ” – except the saying of ibrahim to his father , “ i will surely seek forgiveness for you , and i do not possess any power to benefit you against allah ” ; “ o our lord ! we have relied only upon you , and towards you only we have inclined and only towards you is the return ” .
তোমাদের জন ্ য নিশ ্ চয়ই উত ্ তম আদর ্ শ রয়েছে ইব ্ রাহীমের ও তাঁর সঙ ্ গে যারা ছিল তাদের মধ ্ যে -- যখন তারা তাদের লোকদলকে বলেছিল -- ''নিশ্চয় আমরা দায়শূন্য তোমাদের থেকে, আর আল্লাহ্‌কে বাদ দিয়ে তোমরা যার উপাসনা কর তার থেকে, আমরা তোমাদের প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছি, কাজেই আমাদের মধ্যে ও তোমাদের মধ্যে শত্রুতা ও হিংসা-বিদ্বেষ চিরদিনের জন্য শুরু হয়েছে যতক্ষণ না তোমরা আল্লাহ্‌তে -- তাঁর একত্বে-- বিশ্বাস না কর।’’ তবে তাঁর পিতৃপুরুষের প্রতি ইব্রাহীমের বক্তব্য ছিল -- ''আমি নিশ্চয় তোমার জন্য ক্ষমাপ্রার্থনা করব, আর আল্লাহ্‌র কাছ থেকে তোমার জন্য অন্য কোনো কিছুতে আমার ক্ষমতা নেই।’’ ''আমাদের প্রভু! তোমার উপরেই আমরা নির্ভর করছি, আর তোমারই কাছে আমরা ফিরছি, আর তোমার কাছেই তো প্রত্যাবর্তন।
