অথচ তোমাদের উপরে নিশ ্ চয়ই তত ্ ত ্ বাবধায়ক রয়েছে , --

here is a multitude rushing headlong with you . there is no welcome for them .
''এই এক বাহিনী -- তোমাদের সঙ্গে দিগ্বিদিগ্‌জ্ঞানশূন্য হয়ে ছুটছে, তাদের জন্য কোনো অভিনন্দন নেই? তারা নিশ্চয়ই আগুনে পুড়বে।’’

even then we did forgive you ; there was a chance for you to be grateful .
তারপর আমি তাতেও তোমাদেরকে ক ্ ষমা করে দিয়েছি , যাতে তোমরা কৃতজ ্ ঞতা স ্ বীকার করে নাও ।

they either did not want you to be the captain or they placed you there to see you fail.
তারা আপনাকে অধিনায়ক হিসাবে চায়নি অথবা আপনাকে ওই পদে বসিয়েছিল যাতে আপনি ব্যর্থ হন।

o my slaves ! for you there is no fear this day , nor is it ye who grieve ;
''হে আমার বান্দারা! আজকের দিনে তোমাদের জন্য কোনো ভয় নেই আর তোমরা দুঃখও করবে না, --

and for you there is beauty in them as ye drive them at eventide and as ye drive them out to pasture .
আর তোমাদের জন ্ য তাদের মধ ্ যে রয়েছে শোভা-সৌন ্ দর ্ য যখন তোমরা তাদের ঘরে নিয়ে এস ও বাইরে নিয়ে যাও ।

if god supports you , there is none who can overcome you . but if he fails you , who is there to help you after him ?
যদি আল ্ লাহ তোমাদের সহায়তা করেন , তাহলে কেউ তোমাদের উপর পরাক ্ রান ্ ত হতে পারবে না । আর যদি তিনি তোমাদের সাহায ্ য না করেন , তবে এমন কে আছে , যে তোমাদের সাহায ্ য করতে পারে ? আর আল ্ লাহর ওপরই মুসলমানগনের ভরসা করা উচিত ।

not one of you there is , but he shall go down to it ; that for thy lord is a thing decreed , determined .
আর তোমাদের মধ ্ যে এমন একজনও নেই যে সেখানে না আসবে , -- এটি তোমার প ্ রভুর জন ্ যে এক অনিবার ্ য সিদ ্ ধান ্ ত ।

do you , the believers in truth , desire the unbelievers to believe you ? there was a group among them who would hear the word of god and understand it .
এরপর কি তোমরা আশা কর যে তারা তোমাদের প ্ রতি বিশ ্ বাস করবে ? ইতিপূর ্ বে তাদের একটি দল আল ্ লাহ ্ ‌ র বাণী শুনত , তারপর তা পাল ্ টে দিত উহা বুঝবার পরেও , আর তারা জানে ।

' this is a troop rushing in with you ; there is no welcome for them ; they shall roast in the fire . '
''এই এক বাহিনী -- তোমাদের সঙ্গে দিগ্বিদিগ্‌জ্ঞানশূন্য হয়ে ছুটছে, তাদের জন্য কোনো অভিনন্দন নেই? তারা নিশ্চয়ই আগুনে পুড়বে।’’

among the desert-arabs around you there are some hypocrites , and among the inhabitants of medina too . they have become adamant in hypocrisy .
আর কিছু কিছু তোমার আশ-পাশের মুনাফেক এবং কিছু লোক মদীনাবাসী কঠোর মুনাফেকীতে অনঢ় । তুমি তাদের জান না ; আমি তাদের জানি । আমি তাদেরকে আযাব দান করব দু ’ বার , তারপর তাদেরকে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে মহান আযাবের দিকে ।

a day whereon ye shall turn away retreating : for you there will be no protector from god ; and whomsoever god sendeth astray for him there is no guide .
''সেইদিন তোমরা ফিরবে পলায়নপর হয়ে, আল্লাহ্‌র থেকে তোমাদের জন্য কোনো রক্ষাকারী থাকবে না। আর যাকে আল্লাহ্ পথভ্রষ্ট হতে দেন তার জন্য তবে কোনো পথপ্রদর্শক থাকবে না।

and recite the book of your lord which has been divinely revealed to you ; there is none who can change his words ; and you will never find a refuge besides him .
আপনার প ্ রতি আপনার পালনকর ্ তার যে , কিতাব প ্ রত ্ যাদিষ ্ ট করা হয়েছে , তা পাঠ করুন । তাঁর বাক ্ য পরিবর ্ তন করার কেউ নাই । তাঁকে ব ্ যতীত আপনি কখনই কোন আশ ্ রয় স ্ থল পাবেন না ।

and from among you there must be a party who invite people to all that is good and enjoin the doing of all that is right and forbid the doing of all that is wrong . it is they who will attain true success .
আর তোমাদের মধ ্ যে এমন একটা দল থাকা উচিত যারা আহবান জানাবে সৎকর ্ মের প ্ রতি , নির ্ দেশ দেবে ভাল কাজের এবং বারণ করবে অন ্ যায় কাজ থেকে , আর তারাই হলো সফলকাম ।

( observing their followers advancing to hell they will say , among themselves : “ this is a troop rushing in to you . there is no welcome for them .
''এই এক বাহিনী -- তোমাদের সঙ্গে দিগ্বিদিগ্‌জ্ঞানশূন্য হয়ে ছুটছে, তাদের জন্য কোনো অভিনন্দন নেই? তারা নিশ্চয়ই আগুনে পুড়বে।’’

fight against them wherever they confront you in combat and drive them out from where they drove you out . though killing is bad. persecution is worse than killing do not fight against them near the masjid haram unless they attack you there .
আর তাদের হত ্ যা করো যেখানেই তোমারা তাদের দেখা পাও , আর তাদের তাড়িয়ে দাও যেখান থেকে তারা তোমাদের তাড়িয়ে দিয়েছিল , আর উৎপীড়ন যুদ ্ ধের চেয়ে নিকৃষ ্ টতর । কিন ্ তু তাদের হত ্ যা করো না পবিত ্ র-মসজিদের আশেপাশে যে পর ্ যন ্ ত না তারা সেখানে তোমাদের সঙ ্ গে যুদ ্ ধ করে , কাজেই তারা যদি তোমাদের সঙ ্ গে যুদ ্ ধ করে তবে তোমরাও তাদের সাথে লড়বে । এই হচ ্ ছে অবিশ ্ বাসীদের প ্ রাপ ্ য ।
