အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ဤပြည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ် အမွေခံရမည်ကို အဘယ်သို့ သိရပါအံ့နည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်လေ၏။

how much less shall i answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him?

and he said, if the lord do not help thee, whence shall i help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress?
ရှင်ဘုရင်က၊ ထာဝရဘုရားကယ်မတော်မမူ လျှင်၊ ငါသည် အဘယ်သို့ ကယ်မနိုင်မည်နည်း။ စပါးနယ်ရာတလင်း၊ စပျစ်သီးနယ်ရာ ကျင်းထဲက ကယ်မနိုင်မည်လောဟူ၍၎င်း၊

and saul asked counsel of god, shall i go down after the philistines? wilt thou deliver them into the hand of israel? but he answered him not that day.
ရှောလုကလည်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ဖိလိတ္တိလူတို့ကို လိုက်ရပါမည်လော။ သူတို့ကို ဣသရေလလူတို့ လက်သို့ အပ်တော်မူမည်လောဟု ဘုရားသခင့်ထံ အခွင့်ပန်သော်လည်း၊ ထိုနေ့တွင် ပြန်တော်မမူ။

တဖန်ထာဝရဘုရားက၊ ငါသည်အဘယ်သူကို စေလွှတ်ရမည်နည်း။ ငါတို့အဘို့ အဘယ်သူသွားမည်နည်း ဟု မေးတော်မူသံကို ငါကြားလျှင်၊ ငါက၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ရှိပါ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ်ကို စေလွှတ်တော်မူပါဟု လျှောက်လေ၏။

therefore david inquired of the lord, saying, shall i go and smite these philistines? and the lord said unto david, go, and smite the philistines, and save keilah.
အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ထိုဖိလိတ္တိလူတို့ကို သွား၍ လုပ်ကြံရပါမည်လောဟု ထာဝရဘုရားအား မေးလျှောက်လျှင်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားက သွားလော့။ ဖိလိတ္တိလူတို့ကို လုပ်ကြံ၍ ကိလမြို့ကို ကယ်တင် လော့ဟု ဒါဝိဒ်အား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

o ephraim, what shall i do unto thee? o judah, what shall i do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.
