o termo co que se coñece esta materia que falta é materia escura e estas dúas palabras resumen bastante ben todo o que sabemos nesta altura. sabemos que hai materia porque podemos ver os efectos da súa influencia gravitatoria. porén, a materia non emite nada de radiación electromagnética detectábel, polo que é escura. existen varias teorías que explican esta masa que falta e que van desde exóticas partículas subatómicas a unha poboación de buracos negros isolados ás menos exóticas ananas marróns e brancas. o termo masa que falta pode ser equívoco, dado que a masa mesma non falta, só a súa luz. mais, que é exactamente a materia negra e como sabemos que realmente existe se non a podemos ver?
