तब उस ने मुझ से कहा, इन हडि्डयों से भविष्यद्वाणी करके कह, हे सूखी हडि्डयो, यहोवा का वचन सुनो।

तू ही हे परमेश्वर उनकी रक्षा करेगा, उनको इस काल के लोगों से सर्वदा के लिये बचाए रखेगा।

हे यहोवा, उनको दण्ड दे! तू क्या देगा? यह, कि उनकी स्त्रियों के गर्भ गिर जाएं, और स्थान सूखे रहें।।

then he said unto them, o fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
तब उस ने उन से कहा; हे निर्बुद्धियों, और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की सब बातों पर विश्वास करने में मन्दमतियों!

do not i hate them, o lord, that hate thee? and am not i grieved with those that rise up against thee?
हे यहोवा, क्या मैं तेरे बैरियों से बैर न रखूं, और तेरे विरोधियों से रूठ न जाऊं?

thou answeredst them, o lord our god: thou wast a god that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
हे हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा तू उनकी सुन लेता था; तू उनके कामों का पलटा तो लेता था तौभी उनके लिये क्षमा करनेवाला ईश्वर था।

ऐ हमारे पालने वाले मक्के वालों में उन्हीं में से एक रसूल को भेज जो उनको तेरी आयतें पढ़कर सुनाए और आसमानी किताब और अक्ल की बातें सिखाए और उन के पाकीज़ा कर दें बेशक तू ही ग़ालिब और साहिबे तदबीर है

hear me speedily, o lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest i be like unto them that go down into the pit.
हे यहोवा, फुर्ती करके मेरी सुन ले; क्योंकि मेरे प्राण निकलने ही पर हैं मुझ से अपना मुंह न छिपा, ऐसा न हो कि मैं कबर में पड़े हुओं के समान हो जाऊं।
