بەشی بێوەژن لە میراتی مێردەکەی

if you desire to replace one wife with another, do not take any part of her dower back: even if you have given her a treasure. would you take it by slandering her and with manifest sinfulness?
خۆ ئه‌گه‌ر ویستتان هاوسه‌رێک بخه‌نه جێگه‌ی هاوسه‌رێکی ترو ماره‌ییه‌که‌ی (ئاڵتون و سامانێکی) زۆرتان پێدا بوو، ئه‌وه نابێت هیچ شتێکی لێ بگێڕنه‌وه و لێی که‌م بکه‌نه‌وه‌، ئایا ئه‌و ماره‌ییه‌ی که پێتانداوه وه‌ریده‌گرنه‌وه لێیان به‌دروست کردنی بوختانێکی ناڕه‌واو گوناهو سته‌مێکی ئاشکرا؟!

but if ye decide to take one wife in place of another, even if ye had given the latter a whole treasure for dower, take not the least bit of it back: would ye take it by slander and manifest wrong?

also (prohibited are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess: thus hath allah ordained (prohibitions) against you: except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property,- desiring chastity, not lust, seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree mutually (to vary it), there is no blame on you, and allah is all-knowing, all-wise.
(هه‌روه‌ها حه‌رامه‌) لێتان ئه‌و ئافره‌تانه‌ی که مێردیان هه‌یه جگه له که‌نیزه‌کتان (له‌و زه‌مانه‌دا باو بووه‌، جا ئه‌م سنوورانه‌) خوا بڕیاریداوه له‌سه‌رتان، جگه له‌وانه‌ی که باسکران، حه‌ڵاڵه بۆتان به‌هۆی ماڵ و دارایتانه‌وه هاوسه‌ر بگرن (تا چوار ئافره‌ت) تا پاک داوێن بن و له سنووری ڕه‌وشتی به‌رز ده‌رنه‌چن، جا له‌گه‌ڵ هه‌ر ئافره‌تێکدا هاوسه‌ریتان گرت ئه‌وه فه‌رزه که ماره‌ییه‌که‌یان بده‌نێ و هیچ گوناهیش نیه له سه‌رتان له که‌م کردنه‌وه‌ی ئه‌و ماره‌ییه‌ی له‌سه‌ری ڕێککه‌وتبوون له دوای دیاریکردنی، به‌ڕاستی خوا هه‌میشه‌و به‌رده‌وام زاناو دانایه‌.
