ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަނުކުރަނީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟

will ye not then receive admonition?
ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަނުކުރަނީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟

nay! it is surely an admonition.
ހަމަހިލާ އެހެންނަކުން ނުވާނެއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެ قرآن އަކީ ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމެކެވެ.

but as admonition for him who fears --
(اللَّه އަށް) ބިރުވެތިވާ މީހަކަށް ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމެއް ކަމުގައި މެނުވީ (ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ قرآن ބާވައެއް ނުލައްވަމެވެ.)

why then do they turn away from the admonition
ފަހެ، ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމުން (އެބަހީ: قرآن ން) އެއުރެން އެއްކިބާވެ ދުރަށްދަނީ ކީއްވެގެން ހެއްޔެވެ؟

sad. by the qur'an full of admonition.
ص (މިއަކުރުގެ مراد ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވަނީ اللَّه އެވެ.) ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމުގެ ވެރި قرآن ގަންދެއްވައި وحى ކުރައްވަމެވެ. (ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއީ حق ތެދެވެ.)

he who fears [god] will take admonition,
(اللَّه އަށް) ބިރުވެތިވާ މީހާ، ހަނދުމަކޮށް އުޅޭނެތެވެ.

had we but an admonition as had the ancients.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: مكة ގެ مشرك ން) ބުނެއުޅެތެވެ.

a guide and an admonition to men of understanding.
(އެއީ) ބުއްދީގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް ތެދުމަގެއް ކަމުގައްޔާއި، ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމެއް ކަމުގައެވެ.

for the sake of admonition, and we were not unjust.
(އެއީ) ހަނދާންކޮށްދެއްވުމެކެވެ. އަދި އަނިޔާވެރި ކަލަކު ކަމުގައި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ނުވަމެވެ.

a guidance and an admonition unto the men of understanding,
(އެއީ) ބުއްދީގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް ތެދުމަގެއް ކަމުގައްޔާއި، ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމެއް ކަމުގައެވެ.

and admonish, for admonition indeed benefits the faithful.
ކަލޭގެފާނު ހަނދާންކޮށްދެއްވާށެވެ! ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމަކީ، مؤمن ންނަށް މަންފާކުރާނޭ ކަމެކެވެ.

an insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent.
(އެއީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް) توبة ވާ ކޮންމެ އަޅަކަށް عبرة އެއް ކަމުގައްޔާއި، ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމެއް ކަމުގައެވެ.

therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish.
ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު) އެއުރެންނަށް (ހަނދުމަކޮށް ދެއްވާށެވެ! ކަލޭގެފާނު ވާކަން ކަށަވަރީ، ހަނދުމަކޮށްދެއްވާ ބޭކަލަކު ކަމުގައެވެ.

but only as an admonition to him who fears [his lord].
(اللَّه އަށް) ބިރުވެތިވާ މީހަކަށް ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމެއް ކަމުގައި މެނުވީ (ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ قرآن ބާވައެއް ނުލައްވަމެވެ.)

or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him?
އަދި އޭނާ ކުށްތަކުން ސާފުވެ، طاهر ވެދާނެކަން، ނުވަތަ އޭނާ ހަނދުމަކޮށް، ދެން އެ ހަނދުމަކުޅައުން އޭނާޔަށް މަންފާކޮށްފާނެކަން ކަލޭގެފާނަށް އަންގައިދެނީ ކޮންއެއްޗެއްތޯއެވެ؟

but only as an admonition to those who fear (allah),-
(اللَّه އަށް) ބިރުވެތިވާ މީހަކަށް ހަނދާންކޮށްދިނުމެއް ކަމުގައި މެނުވީ (ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ قرآن ބާވައެއް ނުލައްވަމެވެ.)

therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).
ފަހެ، ހަނދުމަކޮށްދިނުން މަންފާކުރާނަމަ، ކަލޭގެފާނު (އެއުރެންނަށް) ހަނދުމަކޮށްދެއްވާށެވެ!

certainly we have carried on this discourse for them so that they may take admonition.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ وحى ގެ ބަސްފުޅު (އެބަހީ: قرآن) ވިދިވިދިގެން ބާވައިލައްވައި، އެއުރެންނާ ހަމަޔަށް ގެނެސްދެއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެން ހަނދުމަކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

indeed we have made it simple in your language, so that they may take admonition.
ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، އެފޮތް ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ބަހުން ފަސޭހަކޮށްދެއްވިކަން ކަށަވަރީ، އެއުރެން ހަނދުމަކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.
