'taste your trial! this is that you were seeking to hasten.'
(އެއުރެންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ.) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ عذاب ގެ ރަހަ ލިބިގަންނާށެވެ! މިއީ (ދުނިޔެމަތީގައި) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އަވަސްވުންއެދި އުޅުނު عذاب އެވެ.

'this is what we have been seeking' said he, and they retraced their footsteps
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިމަންމެން ބޭނުންވެގެން މިއުޅެނީ އެތަނެވެ. ދެން އެ ދެކަލުންގެ ފިޔަވަޅު ބައްލަވަމުން އެ ދެކަލުން އެނބުރި ފަހަތަށް ވަޑައިގެންފިއެވެ.

he said: this is that which we have been seeking. so they retraced their steps again.
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިމަންމެން ބޭނުންވެގެން މިއުޅެނީ އެތަނެވެ. ދެން އެ ދެކަލުންގެ ފިޔަވަޅު ބައްލަވަމުން އެ ދެކަލުން އެނބުރި ފަހަތަށް ވަޑައިގެންފިއެވެ.

and persons among humankind have been seeking refuge with persons of the jinn, so that they increased them in evil disposition.
އަދި އިންސީންގެ ތެރެއިން ފިރިހެންބަޔަކު، ޖިންނީންގެ ތެރެއިން ފިރިހެންބަޔެއްގެ ކިބައިން ރައްކާތެރިކަމަށް އެދޭކަމުގައިވޫއެވެ. ފަހެ (އެކަމުގެ ސަބަބުން) އެއުރެންނަށް (އެބަހީ: ޖިންނީންނަށް) އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: އިންސީން) كافر ކަމާއި ބޮޑާކަން އިތުރުކުރޫއެވެ.

and among the people is he who sells himself seeking god’s approval. god is kind towards the servants.
އަދި اللَّه ގެ ރުހިވޮޑިގަތުން އެދި (އެކަލާނގެއަށް) ތިމާގެ نفس ދޫކޮށްލާ މީހުންވެސް މީސްތަކުންގެ ތެރެއިން ވެއެވެ. اللَّه އީ، އަޅުތަކުންނާމެދު، ނުހަނު އޯގާވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

(and be told): “taste your ordeal! this is what you were seeking to hasten.”
(އެއުރެންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ.) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ عذاب ގެ ރަހަ ލިބިގަންނާށެވެ! މިއީ (ދުނިޔެމަތީގައި) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އަވަސްވުންއެދި އުޅުނު عذاب އެވެ.

and of his signs are your sleeping by night and by day, and your seeking of his grace verily herein are signs for a people who hearken.
އަދި ރޭގަނޑާއި ދުވާލުގެ ވަގުތުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނިދާ ނިދުމާއި، އެކަލާނގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމުގެ ތެރެއިން އެދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން މަސައްކަތްކުރުންވަނީ، އެކަލާނގެ ކުޅަދުންވަންތަކަމުގެ ހެކިތަކުގެ ތެރެއިންނެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަމުގައި އަހާ ބަޔަކަށް ހެކިތަކެއްވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

and among his signs is your sleeping during the night and day, and your seeking his munificence; indeed in this are signs for people who heed.
އަދި ރޭގަނޑާއި ދުވާލުގެ ވަގުތުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނިދާ ނިދުމާއި، އެކަލާނގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމުގެ ތެރެއިން އެދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން މަސައްކަތްކުރުންވަނީ، އެކަލާނގެ ކުޅަދުންވަންތަކަމުގެ ހެކިތަކުގެ ތެރެއިންނެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަމުގައި އަހާ ބަޔަކަށް ހެކިތަކެއްވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.
