އަދި ޖިންނީންނާއި، އިންސީންނާއި، ދޫނިސޫފާސޫފީގެ ތެރެއިން سليمان ގެފާނަށް އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ لشكر އެއްކުރެއްވުނެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ لشكر އެތުރިގެންވެއެވެ.

and we certainly tried solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ سليمان ގެފާނު امتحان ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ تخت ގެ މައްޗަށް ހަށިގަނޑެއް އެއްލެވީމެވެ. ދެން އެކަލޭގެފާނު (توبة ވެވަޑައިގެން) އެނބުރި رجوع ވެވަޑައިގަތެވެ.

certainly we tried solomon, and we cast upon his throne a mere body; then he repented.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ سليمان ގެފާނު امتحان ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ تخت ގެ މައްޗަށް ހަށިގަނޑެއް އެއްލެވީމެވެ. ދެން އެކަލޭގެފާނު (توبة ވެވަޑައިގެން) އެނބުރި رجوع ވެވަޑައިގަތެވެ.

އެކަލޭގެފާނު (هُدهُد އަށް) ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ކަލޭ ތިޔަބުނީ ތެދެއްތޯ ނުވަތަ ކަލޭވަނީ ދޮގުވެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންތޯ ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު ބައްލަވާހުށީމެވެ.

އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، سليمان ގެފާނަށް ވައިރޯޅި ގަދަޔަށްޖެހޭ ގޮތުގައި (އެ) خدمة ތެރި ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ ބިމުގައި، بركات ލެއްވި ބިމަށް، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަމުރުފުޅަށް، އެ ވައިރޯޅި ހިނގައިދާގޮތުގައެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކޮންމެކަމެއް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވަމެވެ.

(solomon) said: "soon shall we see whether thou hast told the truth or lied!
އެކަލޭގެފާނު (هُدهُد އަށް) ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ކަލޭ ތިޔަބުނީ ތެދެއްތޯ ނުވަތަ ކަލޭވަނީ ދޮގުވެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންތޯ ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު ބައްލަވާހުށީމެވެ.

(solomon) said: we shall see whether thou speakest truth or whether thou art of the liars.
އެކަލޭގެފާނު (هُدهُد އަށް) ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ކަލޭ ތިޔަބުނީ ތެދެއްތޯ ނުވަތަ ކަލޭވަނީ ދޮގުވެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންތޯ ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު ބައްލަވާހުށީމެވެ.

and before solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks.
އަދި ޖިންނީންނާއި، އިންސީންނާއި، ދޫނިސޫފާސޫފީގެ ތެރެއިން سليمان ގެފާނަށް އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ لشكر އެއްކުރެއްވުނެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ لشكر އެތުރިގެންވެއެވެ.

and there were gathered together unto solomon his armies of the jinn and humankind, and of the birds, and they were set in battle order;
އަދި ޖިންނީންނާއި، އިންސީންނާއި، ދޫނިސޫފާސޫފީގެ ތެރެއިން سليمان ގެފާނަށް އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ لشكر އެއްކުރެއްވުނެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ لشكر އެތުރިގެންވެއެވެ.

and david and solomon they passed judgment upon the tilled land on which the people? s sheep had strayed. we bore witness to their judgment, and
އަދި داود ގެފާނާއި، سليمان ގެފާނު ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! قوم ގެމީހުންގެ ބަކަރިތަކެއް ދަނޑަކަށްވަދެ، ރޭގަނޑުގައި ހުއިހެފި مسألة ގައި، އެ ދެބޭކަލުން (ދެގޮތަށް) حكم ކުރެއްވި ހިނދެވެ. އަދި އެ ދެބޭކަލުން ކުރެއްވި حكم ގެ މައްޗަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހެކިވެވޮޑިގެންވަމެވެ.

(solomon) inspected the birds and said, "how is it that i cannot see the hoopoe. is he absent?
އަދި އެކަލޭގެފާނު ދޫނިސޫފާސޫފި ހޯއްދަވައި ބެއްލެވިއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އަހުރެންނަށް هُدهُد މި ނުފެންނަނީ ކީއްވެގެން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ނުވަތަ އޭތި غيب ވެގެންވީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟

"it is from solomon, and is (as follows): 'in the name of allah, most gracious, most merciful:
އެއީ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، سليمان ގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުން އައި ސިޓީފުޅެކެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޭގައި އަންގަވާފައިވަނީ [بسـم اللَّه الرّحمـن الرّحيـم] އެވެ. (رحمن ވަންތަ رحيم ވަންތަ اللَّه ގެ اسم ފުޅުން ފަށައިގަންނަމެވެ.)

and we did try solomon: we placed on his throne a body (without life); but he did turn (to us in true devotion):
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ سليمان ގެފާނު امتحان ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ تخت ގެ މައްޗަށް ހަށިގަނޑެއް އެއްލެވީމެވެ. ދެން އެކަލޭގެފާނު (توبة ވެވަޑައިގެން) އެނބުރި رجوع ވެވަޑައިގަތެވެ.

she replied, "it seems that this is it. we had received the knowledge before this and were submissive (to solomon's power)".
ފަހެ، އެކަމަނާ ވަޑައިގަތުމުން ދެންނެވިއެވެ. ކަމަނާގެ تخت ވަނީ މިފަދައިންތޯއެވެ. އެކަމަނާ ދެންނެވިއެވެ. އެއާއި މިއާ ހަމަ އެއްފަދައެވެ. (سليمان ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ.) އެކަމަނާގެ ކުރިން ތިމަންމެންނަށްވަނީ، علم ލިބިފައެވެ. އަދި (އެކަމަނާގެ ކުރިން) ތިމަންމެން مسلم ންކަމުގައި ވީމުއެވެ.

and when she saw it she deemed it a pool and bared her legs. (solomon) said: lo! it is a hall, made smooth, of glass.
އެކަމަނާއަށް ދެންނެވިއެވެ. ގަނޑުވަރަށް ވެދެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ! ފަހެ، އެކަމަނާއަށް އެތަން ފެނިވަޑައިގަތްހިނދު، އެއީ ފެންގަނޑެކޭ ހީފުޅުކުރައްވައި (ފެންގަނޑަކަށް އެރިވަޑައިގަންނަވާގޮތަށް) ދެފައިންޕުޅު كشف ކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އެއީ ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޮމާން ބިއްލޫރިން ހެދިފައިވާ ގަނޑުވަރެކެވެ. (ދެން އެކަމަނާ إسلام ވުމަށް سليمان ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިހިނދު) އެކަމަނާ ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އަޅުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އަޅުގެ އަމިއްލަ نفس އަށް އަޅު އަނިޔާވެރިވެއްޖައީމެވެ. އަދި سليمان ގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައިވެ، عالم ތަކުގެވެރި اللَّه އަށް ބޯލަނބައި، ކިޔަމަންވެއްޖައީމެވެ.

(on another occasion) solomon inspected the birds and said: "why is it that i do not see the hoopoe? is he among the absentees?
އަދި އެކަލޭގެފާނު ދޫނިސޫފާސޫފި ހޯއްދަވައި ބެއްލެވިއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އަހުރެންނަށް هُدهُد މި ނުފެންނަނީ ކީއްވެގެން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ނުވަތަ އޭތި غيب ވެގެންވީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟
