އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށްޓަކައްޔާއި، އެ ތަކެއްޗަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން رزق ދޭ ކަމުގައި ނުވާ ތަކެއްޗަށްޓަކައި، ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ وسيلة ތައް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ ބިމުގައި ލެއްވީމެވެ.

and we have provided therein means of subsistence,- for you and for those for whose sustenance ye are not responsible.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށްޓަކައްޔާއި، އެ ތަކެއްޗަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން رزق ދޭ ކަމުގައި ނުވާ ތަކެއްޗަށްޓަކައި، ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ وسيلة ތައް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ ބިމުގައި ލެއްވީމެވެ.

އަދި اللَّه، رزق ދެއްވުމުގައި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ އެއްބަޔަކު އަނެއްބަޔަކުގެ މައްޗަށް މާތްކުރައްވައި، އިތުރުކުރެއްވިއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަށް މިލްކުވެގެންވާ އަޅުންނަށް، އެއުރެންގެ رزق ރައްދުކޮށްދޭ ބަޔަކުކަމުގައި، އިތުރު ކުރެއްވި މީހުން ނުވެތެވެ. ފަހެ، އެކަމުގައި، އެއުރެން ހަމަހަމަވެގެންވެއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން إنكار ކޮށް ދެކޮޅުހަދަނީ، اللَّه ދެއްވި نعمة އާ މެދުގައި ހެއްޔެވެ؟

but when he tries him (differently), then straitens to him his means of subsistence, he says: my lord has disgraced me.
އަދި ދަންނާށެވެ! އެކަލާނގެ، އެ އިންސާނާ امتحان ކުރައްވައި، އަދި އޭނާގެ رزق ދަތިކުރައްވައިފިހިނދު، ފަހެ، އޭނާ ބުނެތެވެ. ތިމަންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ، ތިމަން ނިކަމެތިކުރައްވައިފިއެވެ.

and how many a town have we destroyed which exulted in its means of subsistence, so these are their abodes, they have not been dwelt in after them except a little, and we are the inheritors,
އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް ދެއްވި ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ ތަނަވަސްކަމުގެ މައްޗަށް كبر ވެރިވެގެން އުޅުނު ކިތައްކިތައް ރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކުކޮށްލެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ ގެދޮރު (ފެންނާން) އެހުރީއެވެ. ވަރަށްމަދު ހިނދުކޮޅެއްގައި މެނުވީ، އެއިން ގެއެއްގައި އެއުރެންނަށްފަހު، މީހަކަށް ނޫޅެވެތެވެ. އަދި ދެމިހުންނަނިވި ވާރުތަވެރިޔަކީވެސް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. (އެބަހީ: އެންމެހާ ތަކެތި ފަނާވެދިއުމަށްފަހުވެސް ދިރިދެމިވޮޑިގެންވަނީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.)

allah makes abundant the means of subsistence for whom he pleases of his servants, and straitens them for whom (he pleases) surely allah is cognizant of all things.
اللَّه، އެކަލާނގެ އަޅުތަކުންގެ ތެރެއިން އިރާދަކުރައްވާ އަޅަކަށް رزق ތަނަވަސްކޮށްދެއްވަތެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ (އިރާދަކުރައްވާ) އަޅަކަށް (رزق) ދަތިކުރައްވަތެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ކޮންމެ ކަމެއް މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

allah amplifies and straitens the means of subsistence for whom he pleases; and they rejoice in this world's life, and this world's life is nothing compared with the hereafter but a temporary enjoyment.
اللَّه، އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާ މީހަކަށް رزق ތަނަވަސްކޮށްދެއްވައި، އަދި (އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާ މީހަކަށް رزق) ދަތިކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ދުނިޔޭގެ ދިރިއުޅުމާމެދު އެއުރެން އުފާކުރޫއެވެ. އަދި ދުނިޔޭގެ ދިރިއުޅުމަކީ، آخرة ގެ ދިރިއުޅުމާ އަޅައިބަލާއިރު، ވަގުތީ އުފަލެއްކަމުގައި މެނުވީ ނުވެތެވެ.
