ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައި އެ ދަރިކަލުން މަސައްކަތް ކުރައްވައި އުޅުއްވާ ފުރާވަރަށް އެރިހިނދު، އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އޭ ލޯބިވާ ދަރިފުޅާއެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އަހުރެން ތިބާ قربان ކުރާތީ، ހުވަފެނުގައި އަހުރެންނަށް ފެނެތެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިބާޔަށް (އެކަމާމެދު) ފެންނަގޮތެއް ވިސްނައި ބަލާށެވެ! އެ ދަރިކަލުން ދެންނެވިއެވެ. އޭ ބައްޕާއެވެ! ކަލޭގެފާނަށް أمر ކުރައްވާ ކަންތައް ކަލޭގެފާނު ކުރައްވާށެވެ! اللَّه އިރާދަކުރެއްވިއްޔާ އަޅުގަނޑު ވަނީ، ކެތްތެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންކަން، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ފެނިވަޑައިގަންނަވާނެތެވެ.

(ye) who believed our revelations and were self-surrendered,
އެއުރެންނީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތަކަށް إيمان ވެ، مسلم ން ކަމުގައިވީ މީހުންނެވެ.

even those who believed in our signs, and had surrendered themselves
އެއުރެންނީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތަކަށް إيمان ވެ، مسلم ން ކަމުގައިވީ މީހުންނެވެ.

what, shall we make those who have surrendered like to the sinners?
ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ (ކިޔަމަންތެރި) مسلم ން (كافر ވި) ކުށްވެރިންނާ އެއްފަދަ ކުރައްވާނޭ ހެއްޔެވެ؟

but we found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves,
ފަހެ، އެރަށުގައި مسلم ންގެ އެންމެ ގެއެއްގެ أهل ވެރިން މެނުވީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެކެވޮޑިއެއް ނުގަންނަވަމެވެ.

shall we then treat those who have surrendered as we treat the guilty?
ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ (ކިޔަމަންތެރި) مسلم ން (كافر ވި) ކުށްވެރިންނާ އެއްފަދަ ކުރައްވާނޭ ހެއްޔެވެ؟

but we found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves.
ފަހެ، އެރަށުގައި مسلم ންގެ އެންމެ ގެއެއްގެ أهل ވެރިން މެނުވީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެކެވޮޑިއެއް ނުގަންނަވަމެވެ.

but we found there but one house of those surrendered (to allah).
ފަހެ، އެރަށުގައި مسلم ންގެ އެންމެ ގެއެއްގެ أهل ވެރިން މެނުވީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެކެވޮޑިއެއް ނުގަންނަވަމެވެ.

a time will surely come when those who are bent on denying the truth will wish that they had surrendered themselves to god,
كافر ވި މީހުން އެއުރެންނީ مسلم ންކަމުގައި ވީނަމައޭ ހިތައި އެކަމަށް ގިނަގިނައިން އެދެތެވެ.

and some of us have surrendered, and some of us have deviated. those who have surrendered sought rectitude;
އަދި ތިމަންމެންގެ ތެރެއިން مسلم ންވެއެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންމެންގެ ތެރެއިން ތެދުމަގުން އެއްކިބާވެފައިވާ މީހުންވެއެވެ. ފަހެ، إسلام ވި މީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ތެދުމަގު اختيار ކޮށްފޫއެވެ.

ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައި އެ ދަރިކަލުން މަސައްކަތް ކުރައްވައި އުޅުއްވާ ފުރާވަރަށް އެރިހިނދު، އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އޭ ލޯބިވާ ދަރިފުޅާއެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އަހުރެން ތިބާ قربان ކުރާތީ، ހުވަފެނުގައި އަހުރެންނަށް ފެނެތެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިބާޔަށް (އެކަމާމެދު) ފެންނަގޮތެއް ވިސްނައި ބަލާށެވެ! އެ ދަރިކަލުން ދެންނެވިއެވެ. އޭ ބައްޕާއެވެ! ކަލޭގެފާނަށް أمر ކުރައްވާ ކަންތައް ކަލޭގެފާނު ކުރައްވާށެވެ! اللَّه އިރާދަކުރެއްވިއްޔާ އަޅުގަނޑު ވަނީ، ކެތްތެރިންގެ ތެރެއިންކަން، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ފެނިވަޑައިގަންނަވާނެތެވެ.

nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. thou canst make none to hear, save those who believe our revelations and who have surrendered.
އަދި ކަނުމީހުންނަށް (އެބަހީ: މަގުފުރެދުމުން ކަނުވެފައިވާ މީހުންނަށް) އެއުރެންގެ މަގުފުރެދުމުން އެއްކިބާކުރައްވައި، (ތެދުމަގު ދައްކަވާ) هادى އަކު ކަމުގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ނުވަމުއެވެ. ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތަކަށް إيمان ވާ ބަޔަކަށް މެނުވީ ކަލޭގެފާނަކަށް ނީއްވެވޭނެއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނީ، اللَّه އަށް ކިޔަމަންވާ މީހުންނެވެ.

moses said, 'o my people, if you believe in god, in him put your trust, if you have surrendered.'
އަދި موسى ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އޭ އަހުރެންގެ قوم ގެމީހުންނެވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް إيمان ވެގެންވާނަމަ، ފަހެ، އެކަލާނގެއަށް وكيل ކުރާށެވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނީ مسلم ން ކަމުގައި ވާނަމައެވެ.

and he commanded you not that ye should take the angels and the prophets for lords. would he command you to disbelieve after ye had surrendered (to allah)?
އަދި، ملائكة ންނާއި، ނަބިއްޔުންނީ، إله ން ކަމުގައި ހަދައިގެން އުޅުމަކަށް އެމީހަކު ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަކަށް أمر ކުރުމެއްވެސް ނެތެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުން مسلم ން ކަމުގައިވެގެން ތިބުމަށްފަހު، كافر ވުމަށް އެމީހަކު ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް (ފަހެ) أمر ކުރާނެ ހެއްޔެވެ؟

and moses said: o my people! if ye have believed in allah then put trust in him, if ye have indeed surrendered (unto him)!
އަދި موسى ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އޭ އަހުރެންގެ قوم ގެމީހުންނެވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް إيمان ވެގެންވާނަމަ، ފަހެ، އެކަލާނގެއަށް وكيل ކުރާށެވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނީ مسلم ން ކަމުގައި ވާނަމައެވެ.

abraham was not a jew, nor yet a christian; but he was an upright man who had surrendered (to allah), and he was not of the idolaters.
