there are among them unlettered people who have no real knowledge of the scriptures, knowing only their own wishful thinking and following only conjecture.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެތެރޭގައި ލިޔާންކިޔާން ނުދަންނަ މީހުންވެސްވެއެވެ. ފޮތުންވެސް، مستحيل އުންމީދުތަކެއްނޫނީ އެއުރެންނަކަށް ނުފެނެއެވެ. އަދި ހީތަކެއް ކުރާކަމުގައިނޫނީ، އެއުރެން ނުވެތެވެ.

there is no god but him. he ordains life and death, so believe in god and his messenger, the unlettered prophet who believes in god and his words.
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! އޭ މީސްތަކުންނޭވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެންމެންގެ ގާތަށް اللَّه ފޮނުއްވި رسول އާއެވެ. އެކަލާނގެއީ، އުޑުތަކާއި ބިމުގެ ވެރިކަން އެކަލާނގެއަށް ملك ވެގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. އެކަލާނގެ މެނުވީ إله އަކު ނުވެއެވެ. ދިރުއްވަނީވެސް އަދި މަރުގަންނަވަނީވެސް، އެކަލާނގެއެވެ. ފަހެ، اللَّه އަށާއި أمّى ނަބިއްޔާ ކަމުގައިވާ އެކަލާނގެ رسول އާއަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން إيمان ވާށެވެ! އެކަލޭގެފާނީ اللَّه އަށާއި އެކަލާނގެ ބަސްފުޅުތަކަށް إيمان ވާ ނަބިއްޔާއެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް تبع ވާށެވެ! (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތެދުމަގު ލިބިގަތުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and there are among them (jews) unlettered people, who know not the book, but they trust upon false desires and they but guess.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެތެރޭގައި ލިޔާންކިޔާން ނުދަންނަ މީހުންވެސްވެއެވެ. ފޮތުންވެސް، مستحيل އުންމީދުތަކެއްނޫނީ އެއުރެންނަކަށް ނުފެނެއެވެ. އަދި ހީތަކެއް ކުރާކަމުގައިނޫނީ، އެއުރެން ނުވެތެވެ.

he it is who hath raised amdist the unlettered ones an apostle from among themselves, rehearsing unto them his revelations and purifying them and teaching them the book and wisdom, though they have been aforetime in error manifest.
أمّى ންގެ ތެރެޔަށް، އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން رسول އަކު ފޮނުއްވީ އެކަލާނގެއެވެ. އެކަލާނގެ آية ތައް އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް އެކަލޭގެފާނު ކިޔަވައިދެއްވަތެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން طاهر ކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ފޮތާއި، حكمة އެއުރެންނަށް އުނގަންނައިދެއްވަތެވެ. އޭގެކުރިން އެއުރެން ތިބީ ފާޅުވެ ބަޔާންވެގެންވާ އުރެދުމެއްގައިކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

he it is who hath sent among the unlettered ones a messenger of their own, to recite unto them his revelations and to make them grow, and to teach them the scripture and wisdom, though heretofore they were indeed in error manifest,
أمّى ންގެ ތެރެޔަށް، އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން رسول އަކު ފޮނުއްވީ އެކަލާނގެއެވެ. އެކަލާނގެ آية ތައް އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް އެކަލޭގެފާނު ކިޔަވައިދެއްވަތެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން طاهر ކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ފޮތާއި، حكمة އެއުރެންނަށް އުނގަންނައިދެއްވަތެވެ. އޭގެކުރިން އެއުރެން ތިބީ ފާޅުވެ ބަޔާންވެގެންވާ އުރެދުމެއްގައިކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

and to those who shall follow the messenger the unlettered prophet (muhammad) whom they shall find written with them in the torah and the gospel. he will order kindness upon them and forbid them to do evil.
އެއުރެންނީ، أمّى ނަބިއްޔާ ކަމުގައިވާ رسول އާއަށް تبع ވާ މީހުންނެވެ. އެ رسول އާއި، އެއުރެންގެ ގާތުގައިވާ توراة އާއި، إنجيل ގައި (رسول އާގެ ސިފަފުޅުތައް) ލިޔެވިގެންވާތީ، އެއުރެންދެކޭ رسول އެވެ. އެކަލޭގެފާނު، އެއުރެންނަށް ހެޔޮކަންތަކަށް އަމުރުކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ނުބައިކަންތައް އެއުރެންނަށް ނަހީކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ރަނގަޅު ތަކެތި އެއުރެންނަށް حلال ކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ނުބައިވެގެންވާ ތަކެތި އެއުރެންނަށް حرام ކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށްހުރި ބުރަތަކާއި، އެއުރެންގައި އެޅިފައިވާ ކަސްތޮޅުތައް ނެތިކުރައްވައި، ލުއިކުރައްވަތެވެ. ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް إيمان ވެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ވާގިވެރިވެ، نصر ވެރިވެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނާއެކުގައި ބާވައިލެއްވި نور އަށް تبع ވީ މީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ދިންނަވާނޭ މީހުންނަކީ، ހަމަ އެއުރެންނެވެ.

it is he who has sent among the unlettered people a noble messenger from themselves, who recites his verses to them and purifies them, and bestows them the knowledge of the book and wisdom; and indeed before this, they were in open error.
أمّى ންގެ ތެރެޔަށް، އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން رسول އަކު ފޮނުއްވީ އެކަލާނގެއެވެ. އެކަލާނގެ آية ތައް އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް އެކަލޭގެފާނު ކިޔަވައިދެއްވަތެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން طاهر ކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ފޮތާއި، حكمة އެއުރެންނަށް އުނގަންނައިދެއްވަތެވެ. އޭގެކުރިން އެއުރެން ތިބީ ފާޅުވެ ބަޔާންވެގެންވާ އުރެދުމެއްގައިކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

"those who follow the messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); he releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. so it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper."
އެއުރެންނީ، أمّى ނަބިއްޔާ ކަމުގައިވާ رسول އާއަށް تبع ވާ މީހުންނެވެ. އެ رسول އާއި، އެއުރެންގެ ގާތުގައިވާ توراة އާއި، إنجيل ގައި (رسول އާގެ ސިފަފުޅުތައް) ލިޔެވިގެންވާތީ، އެއުރެންދެކޭ رسول އެވެ. އެކަލޭގެފާނު، އެއުރެންނަށް ހެޔޮކަންތަކަށް އަމުރުކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ނުބައިކަންތައް އެއުރެންނަށް ނަހީކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ރަނގަޅު ތަކެތި އެއުރެންނަށް حلال ކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ނުބައިވެގެންވާ ތަކެތި އެއުރެންނަށް حرام ކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށްހުރި ބުރަތަކާއި، އެއުރެންގައި އެޅިފައިވާ ކަސްތޮޅުތައް ނެތިކުރައްވައި، ލުއިކުރައްވަތެވެ. ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް إيمان ވެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ވާގިވެރިވެ، نصر ވެރިވެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނާއެކުގައި ބާވައިލެއްވި نور އަށް تبع ވީ މީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ދިންނަވާނޭ މީހުންނަކީ، ހަމަ އެއުރެންނެވެ.
