اللرُتم کو نصیحت کرتا ہے کہ اگر تم صاحبِ ایمان ہو تو اب ایسی حرکت دوبارہ ہرگز نہ کرنا

we sent this (the holy koran) down on the night of honor.
بیشک ہم نے اس (قرآن) کو شبِ قدر میں اتارا ہے،

allah has prepared a severe punishment for them. so those possessing understanding fear allah. believers, allah has sent this down for you as a reminder,
اللرُ نے ان کے لئے شدید قسم کا عذاب مہیّا کر رکھا ہے لہذا ایمان والو اور عقل والو اللہ سے ڈرو کہ اس نے تمہاری طرف اپنے ذکر کو نازل کیا ہے

had we sent this quran down on a mountain, you would have seen it trembling, crumbling in awe of god. these parables we cite for the people, so that they may reflect.
اگر ہم اس قرآن کو کسی پہاڑ پر اتارتے تو تو دیکھتا کہ خوف الٰہی سے وه پست ہوکر ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو جاتا ہم ان مثالوں کو لوگوں کے سامنے بیان کرتے ہیں تاکہ وه غور وفکر کریں

and if we had sent this as a quran in a foreign language other than arabic, they would have said: "why are not its verses explained in detail (in our language)? what! (a book) not in arabic and (the messenger) an arab?" say: "it is for those who believe, a guide and a healing. and as for those who disbelieve, there is heaviness (deafness) in their ears, and it (the quran) is blindness for them. they are those who are called from a place far away (so they neither listen nor understand).
اور اگر ہم اس (کتاب) کو عجمی زبان کا قرآن بنا دیتے تو یقیناً یہ کہتے کہ اِس کی آیتیں واضح طور پر بیان کیوں نہیں کی گئیں، کیا کتاب عجمی ہے اور رسول عربی ہے (اِس لئے اے محبوبِ مکرّم! ہم نے قرآن بھی آپ ہی کی زبان میں اتار دیا ہے۔) فرما دیجئے: وہ (قرآن) ایمان والوں کے لئے ہدایت (بھی) ہے اور شفا (بھی) ہے اور جو لوگ ایمان نہیں رکھتے اُن کے کانوں میں بہرے پن کا بوجھ ہے وہ اُن کے حق میں نابینا پن (بھی) ہے (گویا) وہ لوگ کسی دور کی جگہ سے پکارے جاتے ہیں،
