بیشک یہ ضرور حق ہے دوزخیوں کا باہم جھگڑ،

یہ (سر تاپا) ہدایت ہے اور جن لوگوں نے اپنے رب کی آیتوں کو نہ مانا ان کے لیے بہت سخت دردناک عذاب ہے

the lord will say, "this is true. but just as you forgot our revelations that had come to you, so, too, are you forgotten on this day."
(جواب ملے گا کہ) اسی طرح ہونا چاہئے تھا تو میری آئی ہوئی آیتوں کو بھول گیا تو آج تو بھی بھلا دیا جاتا ہے

he said: this is a mercy from my lord; but when the promise of my lord cometh to pass, he will lay it low, for the promise of my lord is true.
(ذوالقرنین نے) کہا: یہ میرے رب کی جانب سے رحمت ہے، پھر جب میرے رب کا وعدۂ (قیامت قریب) آئے گا تو وہ اس دیوار کو (گرا کر) ہموار کردے گا (دیوار ریزہ ریزہ ہوجائے گی)، اور میرے رب کا وعدہ برحق ہے،

"it is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients."
اس کا تو ہم سے اور ہمارےپہلے باپ دادا سے وعدہ ہوتا آیا ہے یہ تو صرف پہلوں کی کہانیاں ہیں

he said: 'this is a mercy from my lord. but when my lord's promise is come, he will make it dust. the promise of my lord is true'
(ذوالقرنین نے) کہا: یہ میرے رب کی جانب سے رحمت ہے، پھر جب میرے رب کا وعدۂ (قیامت قریب) آئے گا تو وہ اس دیوار کو (گرا کر) ہموار کردے گا (دیوار ریزہ ریزہ ہوجائے گی)، اور میرے رب کا وعدہ برحق ہے،

(the angel) said, "this is true, but your lord says, 'for me it is easy; i created you when you did not exist".
ارشاد ہوا اسی طرح تمہارے پروردگار کا فرمان ہے کہ یہ بات میرے لئے بہت آسان ہے اور میں نے اس سے پہلے خود تمہیں بھی پیدا کیا ہے جب کہ تم کچھ نہیں تھے

he said, “this is the mercy of my lord; then when the promise of my lord arrives, he will blow it to bits; and my lord’s promise is true.”
(ذوالقرنین نے) کہا: یہ میرے رب کی جانب سے رحمت ہے، پھر جب میرے رب کا وعدۂ (قیامت قریب) آئے گا تو وہ اس دیوار کو (گرا کر) ہموار کردے گا (دیوار ریزہ ریزہ ہوجائے گی)، اور میرے رب کا وعدہ برحق ہے،
