(اے مشرکو!) اگر تم انہیں پکارو تو وہ (بت ہیں) تمہاری پکار نہیں سُن سکتے اور اگر (بالفرض) وہ سُن لیں تو تمہیں جواب نہیں دے سکتے، اور قیامت کے دن وہ تمہارے شِرک کا بالکل انکار کر دیں گے، اور تجھے خدائے باخبر جیسا کوئی خبردار نہ کرے گا،

or do they say: he has forged it? say: then bring a chapter like this and invite whom you can besides allah, if you are truthful.
کیا وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اسے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے خود گھڑ لیا ہے، آپ فرما دیجئے: پھر تم اس کی مثل کوئی (ایک) سورت لے آؤ (اور اپنی مدد کے لئے) اللہ کے سوا جنہیں تم بلاسکتے ہو بلا لو اگر تم سچے ہو،

or, do they say: he has forged it. say: then bring ten forged chapters like it and call upon whom you can besides allah, if you are truthful.
کیا کفار یہ کہتے ہیں کہ پیغمبر نے اس (قرآن) کو خود گھڑ لیا ہے، فرما دیجئے: تم (بھی) اس جیسی گھڑی ہوئی دس سورتیں لے آؤ اور اﷲ کے سوا (اپنی مدد کے لئے) جسے بھی بلا سکتے ہو بلا لو اگر تم سچے ہو،

if they say, "he has invented it himself." say, "if you are truthful, produce ten invented chapters like it, and call on whom you can besides god, to help you."
کیا کہتے ہیں کہ تو نے قرآن خود بنا لیا ہے کہہ دو تم بھی ایسی دس سورتیں بنا لاؤ اور الله کے سوا جس کو بلا سکو بلا لو اگر تم سچے ہو
