اور البتہ عیسیٰ قیامت کی ایک نشانی ہے پس تم اس میں شبہ نہ کرو اور میری تابعداری کرو یہی سیدھا راستہ ہے

میں بوڑھے کو یاد کرتا ہوں

میری کہانی اس وقت تک ختم نہیں ہوتی جب تک میں جیت نہیں جاتا

he said: well, if thou go with me, ask me not concerning aught till i myself make mention of it unto thee.
(خضر نے) کہا کہ اگر تم میرے ساتھ رہنا چاہو تو (شرط یہ ہے) مجھ سے کوئی بات نہ پوچھنا جب تک میں خود اس کا ذکر تم سے نہ کروں

its not as quick as you are willing for
یہ اتنا تیز نہیں جتنا آپ چاہتے ہیں۔

and lo! verily there is knowledge of the hour. so doubt ye not concerning it, but follow me. this is the right path.
اور البتہ عیسیٰ قیامت کی ایک نشانی ہے پس تم اس میں شبہ نہ کرو اور میری تابعداری کرو یہی سیدھا راستہ ہے

they said, "you have already known that we have not concerning your daughters any claim, and indeed, you know what we want."
ان لوگوں نے کہا تمہیں معلوم ہے کہ ہمیں تمہاری بیٹیوں سے کوئی سروکار نہیں ہے اور تم اچھی طرح جانتے ہو کہ ہم کیا چاہتے ہیں؟

make thou the ark under our eyes, and as we reveal; and address me not concerning those who have done evil; they shall be drowned.'
اور ایک کشتی ہمارے حکم سے ہمارے روبرو بناؤ۔ اور جو لوگ ظالم ہیں ان کے بارے میں ہم سے کچھ نہ کہنا کیونکہ وہ ضرور غرق کردیئے جائیں گے

and say not concerning that wherein your togues utter a lie: this is lawful, and this is unlawful, that ye may fabricate a lie againt allah, verily those who fabricate lie against allah shall not fare well.
(خبردار) تمہاری زبانوں پر جو جھوٹی بات آجائے (اور وہ جھوٹے احکام لگائیں) ان کے متعلق نہ کہو کہ یہ حلال ہے اور یہ حرام! اس طرح تم اللہ پر جھوٹا افترا باندھوگے بے شک جو لوگ خدا پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھتے ہیں وہ کبھی فلاح نہیں پاتے۔

(some) will say: they were three, their dog the fourth, and (some) say: five, their dog the sixth, guessing at random; and (some) say: seven, and their dog the eighth. say (o muhammad): my lord is best aware of their number. none knoweth them save a few. so contend not concerning them except with an outward contending, and ask not any of them to pronounce concerning them.
(اب) کچھ لوگ کہیں گے: (اصحابِ کہف) تین تھے ان میں سے چوتھا ان کا کتا تھا، اور بعض کہیں گے: پانچ تھے ان میں سے چھٹا ان کا کتا تھا، یہ بِن دیکھے اندازے ہیں، اور بعض کہیں گے: (وہ) سات تھے اور ان میں سے آٹھواں ان کا کتا تھا۔ فرما دیجئے: میرا رب ہی ان کی تعداد کو خوب جانتا ہے اور سوائے چند لوگوں کے ان (کی صحیح تعداد) کا علم کسی کو نہیں، سو آپ کسی سے ان کے بارے میں بحث نہ کیا کریں سوائے اس قدر وضاحت کے جو ظاہر ہو چکی ہے اور نہ ان میں سے کسی سے ان (اصحابِ کہف) کے بارے میں کچھ دریافت کریں،
