the proposed model is constructed on the use of a variety of nias to address the problem of parameter setting in dnn for software bug detec- tion, using k-folds cross-validation. the goal of k-fold cross-validation is to divide all of the data items into roughly equal-sized sets. the pa- rameters of the test set are computed using a 10-fold cross-validation approach. each dataset is randomly divided into ten subsets, each of which is the same size as the others and of which one is used as test data every time, while the other nine are used as training data. the model was tested with k =3, k=5 and k=5. best accuracy was obtained with k=10. stratified 10-fold cross validation has been used because it has become the industry standard in terms of practicality. stratification has also been proven to boost performance slightly in some studies (written et al.,2011). the task of these optimization algorithms described above is to find an optimal solution, i.e parameter values to train the deep neural net- work that include number of epochs, neurons, learning rate and batch size in each layer of the network. the finding of the optimal solution is an iterative process with each solution generated by the optimization algorithms is evaluated through the training of dnn. the fitness value calculated represents the overall quality of the solution and predictive performance obtained for the model. the fitness value is conveyed back to the optimization algorithm to construct a new solution in the last step. the best fitness value in the last iteration cycle is taken as the final result and always denotes the best solution found during optimization.
