this 21st issue of the eleria journal is the outcome of the course organised in september 2010 as part of the summer courses run by the upv/ehu-university of the basque country, in collaboration with eusko ikaskuntza/basque studies society. specifically, in the course entitled regions: the circumstances of the new european union "member" (eskualdeak europar batasuneko "kide" berriaren inguruabarrak), a theoretical and practical reflection was carried out on the concept of "region", the fruits of which we have included in this issue.
el número 21 de la revista eleria es fruto del curso organizado en septiembre de 2010 en el marco de los cursos de verano de la universidad del país vasco, con la colaboración de eusko ikaskuntza. en concreto, en el curso denominado eskualdea europar batasuneko "kide" berriaren inguruabarrak se realizó una reflexión teórica y práctica sobre la figura de la "región", cuyo resultado hemos reflejado en este número.
