la cau está impulsando una reforma estructural de la organización mediante nuevos estatutos y reglamentos que le darán mayor dinamismo y capacidad gerencial, haciéndola más participativa e integradora de la tarea que las sociedades nacionales hacen por el desarrollo de la urología latinoamericana. en este orden de ideas la oficina de investigación, dirigida por el dr. hugo dávila barrios, ha organizado un programa de financiamiento de protocolos científicos, así como la divul- gación del conocimiento generado en nuestra región, con la publicación de libros como ha sido el de uroginecología y ahora el de urofisioterapia, para estimular de esa manera la productividad científica de la organización.
