Оё онон, ки содиркунандан бадиҳо мешаванд, магар эминанд аз ин, ки замин ба фармони Худо онҳоро фурӯ барад ё азоб аз ҷое, ки намедонанд, бар сарашон фуруд ояд?

and it was said, "o earth, swallow your water, and o sky, withhold [your rain]."
Ва гуфта шуд: «Эй замин, оби худ фурӯ бар ва эй осмон, бозист».

are they who plan ill-deeds then secure that allah will not cause the earth to swallow them, or that the doom will not come on them whence they know not?
Оё онон, ки содиркунандан бадиҳо мешаванд, магар эминанд аз ин, ки замин ба фармони Худо онҳоро фурӯ барад ё азоб аз ҷое, ки намедонанд, бар сарашон фуруд ояд?

(as for) those who swallow the property of the orphans unjustly, surely they only swallow fire into their bellies and they shall enter burning fire.
Онҳо, ки молҳои ятнмонпо ба ситам мехӯранд, шиками хеш пур аз оташ мекунанд ва ба оташе фурузон хоҳанд афтод!

do they feel secure, those who devise evil things, that god will not cause the earth to swallow them, or that the chastisement will not come upon them, from whence they are not aware?
Оё онон, ки содиркунандан бадиҳо мешаванд, магар эминанд аз ин, ки замин ба фармони Худо онҳоро фурӯ барад ё азоб аз ҷое, ки намедонанд, бар сарашон фуруд ояд?

and we caused the earth to swallow him and his home. and there was for him no company to aid him other than allah, nor was he of those who [could] defend themselves.
Пас ӯ ва хонаашро дар замин фурӯ бурдем ва дар баробари Худо ҳеҷ гурӯҳе надошт, ки ёриаш кунад ва худ ёрӣ кардани худро наметавонист.

do then those who devise evil (plots) feel secure that allah will not cause the earth to swallow them up, or that the wrath will not seize them from directions they little perceive?-
Оё онон, ки содиркунандан бадиҳо мешаванд, магар эминанд аз ин, ки замин ба фармони Худо онҳоро фурӯ барад ё азоб аз ҷое, ки намедонанд, бар сарашон фуруд ояд?

"throw that which is in thy right hand: quickly will it swallow up that which they have faked what they have faked is but a magician's trick: and the magician thrives not, (no matter) where he goes."
