Ман ба кофирон мӯҳлат додам, он гоҳ онҳоро фурӯ гирифтам.

then i appealed to them publicly, and i spoke to them privately.
Боз ба ошкор гуфтам ва дар ниҳон гуфтам.

then i took hold of those who disbelieved.
Сипас онҳоеро, ки кофир шуданд, ба ҳалокат гирифтам.

then i called them loudly and more openly,
Пас онҳоро ба овози баланд даъват кардам.

Ва бародарам Ҳорун ба забон аз ман фасеҳтар аст.

Ифрите аз миёни ҷинҳо гуфт: «Ман қабл аз он, ки аз ҷоят бархезӣ, онро назди ту ҳозир мекунам, ки ман бар ин кор ҳам тавонояму ҳам боваринок».

say: expect then! i am with you among the expectant.
Бигӯ; «Интизор бикашед, ки ман низ бо шумо мунтазирам!»

but then i gave respite to those who were faithless, then i seized them; so how was my retribution?
Ман ба кофирон мӯҳлат додам, он гоҳ ҳамаро фурӯ гирифтам ва он уқубати ман чӣ сахт буд!

but if ye turn away, then i fear for you the penalty of a great day:
Ва агар рӯйгардон шавед, бар шумо аз азоби рӯзи бузург бимнокам.

an afreet from among the jinn said, ‘i will bring it to you before you rise from your place. i have the power to do it and am trustworthy.’
Ифрите аз миёни ҷинҳо гуфт: «Ман қабл аз он, ки аз ҷоят бархезӣ, онро назди ту ҳозир мекунам, ки ман бар ин кор ҳам тавонояму ҳам боваринок».

and how many a township did i suffer long though it was sinful! then i grasped it.
Чӣ бисёр деҳаҳое, ки золим буданд ва Ман мӯҳлаташон додам, он гоҳ онҳоро фурӯ гирифтам.

then i took hold of those who disbelieved, and how terrible was my denial (punishment)!
Сипас онҳоеро, ки кофир шуданд, ба ҳалокат гирифтам. Уқубати Ман чӣ гуна буд?

allah has not sent any authority for them; wait then, i too with you will be of those who wait.
Ба интизор бимонед, ман ҳам бо шумо ба интизор мемонам».

and how many a town to which i gave respite while it was unjust, then i overtook it, and to me is the return.
Чӣ бисёр деҳаҳое, ки золим буданд ва Ман мӯҳлаташон додам, он гоҳ онҳоро фурӯ гирифтам. Ва бозгашти ҳама назди Ман аст!

but if ye turn away, lo! (then) i fear for you the retribution of an awful day.
Ва агар рӯйгардон шавед, бар шумо аз азоби рӯзи бузург бимнокам.
