not those who spend of their substance, to be seen of men, but have no faith in allah and the last day: if any take the evil one for their intimate, what a dreadful intimate he is!
Ва низ касонеро, ки амволи хеш барои худнамоӣ харҷ мекунанд ва ба Худову рӯзи қиёмат имон намеоваранд. Ва ҳар кӣ шайтон қарини ӯ бошад, қарине бад дорад!

those whom we have given this book follow it as it ought to be followed; it is they who [truly] believe in it; those who deny it will be the losers.
Касоне, ки китобашон додаем ва ончунон, ки сазовор аст, онро мехонанд, ба он имон доранд ва онон, ки ба он имон надоранд, зиёнкорон ҳастанд.

Бо онҳо биҷангед то дигар фитнае набошад ва дин танҳо дини Худо шавад.

or there be for thee a house of gold or thou mountest to the heaven, and we will by no means believe in thy mounting even until thou causest a book to be sent down to us, which we may read.
ё туро хонае аз тилло бошад, ё ба осмон боло раВӣ. Ва мо ба осмон рафтанатро бовар накунем, то барои мо китобе, ки аз он бихонем, биёварӣ».

so we seized each for their sin. we let loose upon some a violent tornado with showers of stones; some were overtaken by a mighty cry; some were caused to be swallowed up by the earth, and some we drowned.
Ҳамаро ба гуноҳашон фурӯ гирифтем: бар баъзе бодҳои регбор фиристодем, баъзеро фарёди сахт фурӯ гирифт, баъзеро дар замин фурӯ бурдем, баъзеро ғарқ сохтем.

have you not considered those who were told, “restrain your hands, and perform your prayers, and spend in regular charity”? but when fighting was ordained for them, a faction of them feared the people as god is ought to be feared, or even more.
Оё надидӣ касонеро, ки ба онҳо гуфта шуд, ки акнун аз ҷанг бозистед ва намоз бихонед ва закот бидиҳед, ки чун ҷангидан бар онон муқаррар шуд, гурӯҳе чунон аз мардум тарсиданд, ки бояд аз Худо метарсиданд? Ҳатто тарсе бештар аз тарси Худо.

do not ever think of those who rejoice for their deeds and wish to be praised without doing (good deeds) – do not ever think that they are safe from the punishment; and for them is a painful punishment.
Ононро, ки аз корҳое, ки кардаанд, шодмон шудаанд ва дӯст доранд ба сабаби корҳои нокардаи хеш ҳам мавриди ситоиш қарор гиранд, мапиндор, ки дар паноҳгоҳе дур аз азоби Худо бошанд. Барояшон азобе дардовар муҳайёст!

allah has not instituted things like bahirah (a she-camel whose milk was spared for the idols and nobody was allowed to milk it) or a sa'ibah (a she-camel let loose for free pasture for their false gods, e.g. idols, etc., and nothing was allowed to be carried on it), or a wasilah (a she-camel set free for idols because it has given birth to a she-camel at its first delivery and then again gives birth to a she-camel at its second delivery) or a ham (a stallion-camel freed from work for their idols, after it had finished a number of copulations assigned for it, all these animals were liberated in honour of idols as practised by pagan arabs in the pre-islamic period). but those who disbelieve invent lies against allah, and most of them have no understanding.
