கப்பல்கள் அவன் கட்டளையைக் கொண்டு (கடலில்) செல்லும் பொருட்டும், நீங்கள் அவனுடைய அருளைத் தேடிக்கொள்ளும் பொருட்டும்; மேலும் அவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தும் பொருட்டும் உங்களுக்குக் கடலை வசப்படுத்திக் கொடுத்தவன் அல்லாஹ்வே ஆவான்.

such was aad. they disbelieved the verses of their lord, rebelled against his messengers, and did the bidding of every rebellious tyrant.
(நபியே!) இதோ ஆது கூட்டத்தினர் - அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனின் அத்தாட்சிகளை நிராகரித்து, அவனுடைய தூதர்களுக்கும் மாறு செய்தார்கள். ஒவ்வொரு பிடிவாதக் கார வம்பர்களின் கட்டளையையும் பின்பற்றினார்கள்.

let there be one nation of you, calling to good, and bidding to honour, and forbidding dishonour; those are the prosperers.
மேலும், (மக்களை) நன்மையின் பக்கம் அழைப்பவர்களாகவும், நல்லதைக் கொண்டு (மக்களை) ஏவுபவர்களாகவும் தீயதிலிருந்து (மக்களை) விலக்குபவர்களாகவும் உங்களிலிருந்து ஒரு கூட்டத்தார் இருக்கட்டும் - இன்னும் அவர்களே வெற்றி பெற்றோராவர்.

and such were 'aad. they gainsaid the signs of their lord, and disobeyed his apostles, and followed the bidding of any tyrant froward.
(நபியே!) இதோ ஆது கூட்டத்தினர் - அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனின் அத்தாட்சிகளை நிராகரித்து, அவனுடைய தூதர்களுக்கும் மாறு செய்தார்கள். ஒவ்வொரு பிடிவாதக் கார வம்பர்களின் கட்டளையையும் பின்பற்றினார்கள்.

believing in god and in the last day, bidding to honour and forbidding dishonour, vying one with the other in good works; those are of the righteous.
அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதும் இறுதி நாளின் மீதும் நம்பிக்கை கொள்கிறார்கள்;. நல்லதை(ச் செய்ய) ஏவுகிறார்கள். தீமையை விட்டும் விலக்குகிறார்கள்;. மேலும், நன்மை செய்வதற்கு விரைகின்றனர்;. இவர்களே ஸாலிஹான (நல்லடியார்களில்) நின்றுமுள்ளவர்கள்.

he said, “exit from here, rejected, outcast; indeed whoever among them follows your bidding, i will fill hell with all of you.”
அதற்கு இறைவன், "நீ நிந்திக்கப்பட்டவனாகவும், வெருட்டப்பட்டவனாகவும் இங்கிருந்து வெளியேறி விடு - அவர்களில் உன்னைப் பின்பற்றுவோரையும், உங்கள் யாவரையும் கொண்டு நிச்சயமாக நரகத்தை நிரப்புவேன்" என்று கூறினான்.

they will question thee concerning the spirit. say: 'the spirit is of the bidding of my lord. you have been given of knowledge nothing except a little.'
(நபியே!) "உம்மிடம் ரூஹை (ஆத்மாவைப்) பற்றி அவர்கள் கேட்கிறார்கள். 'ரூஹு' என் இறைவனுடைய கட்டளையிலிருந்தே உண்டானது இன்னும் ஞானத்திலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்டது மிகச் சொற்பமேயன்றி வேறில்லை" எனக் கூறுவீராக.

"what prevented you" (said god), "from bowing (before adam) at my bidding?" "i am better than him," said he. "you created me from fire, and him from clay."
