so wait patiently (o muhammad) for thy lord's decree, for surely thou art in our sight; and hymn the praise of thy lord when thou uprisest,
எனவே (நபியே!) உம்முடைய இறைவனின் தீர்ப்புக்காகப் பொறுத்திறுப்பீராக, நிச்சயமாக நீர் நம் கண்காணிப்பில் இருக்கின்றீர்; மேலும் நீங்கள் எழுந்திருக்கும் சமயத்தில் உம் இறைவனின் புகழைக் கூறித் தஸ்பீஹு செய்வீராக,

they said, "never will we prefer you over what has come to us of clear proofs and [over] he who created us. so decree whatever you are to decree. you can only decree for this worldly life.
(மனந்திருந்திய அவர்கள் ஃபிர்அவ்னிடம்) "எங்களுக்கு வந்துள்ள தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளை விடவும், எங்களைப் படைத்தவனை விடவும் உன்னை (மேலானவனாக) நாங்கள் எடுத்துக் கொள்ள மாட்டோம்; ஆகவே என்ன தீர்ப்புச் செய்ய நீ இருக்கிறாயோ அவ்வாறே தீர்ப்புச் செய்துகொள்; நீ தீர்ப்புச் செய்வதெல்லாம் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் தான்" என்று கூறினார்.

and all married women are forbidden for you except the wives of disbelievers who come into your possession as bondwomen; this is allah’s decree for you; and other than these, all women are lawful for you so that you seek them in exchange of your wealth in proper wedlock, not adultery; therefore give the women you wish to marry, their appointed bridal money; and after the appointment (of bridal money) there is no sin on you if you come to a mutual agreement; indeed allah is all knowing, wise.
இன்னும் (போரில் பிடிபட்டு உங்கள் ஆதரவிலிருக்கும்) அடிமைப் பெண்களைத் தவிர, கணவனுள்ள பெண்களை நீங்கள் மணமுடிப்பது விலக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. (இவையனைத்தும்) அல்லாஹ் உங்கள் மீது விதியாக்கியவையாகும். இவர்களைத் தவிர, மற்றப் பெண்களை, தவறான முறையில் இன்பம் அனுபவிக்காமல், அவர்களுக்கு உங்கள் செல்வங்களிலிருந்து (மஹராக) கொடுத்துத் (திருமணம் செய்யத்) தேடிக் கொள்வது உங்களுக்கு அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. எனவே இவ்வாறு (சட்டப்பூர்வமாக மணந்து கொண்ட) பெண்களிடமிருந்து நீங்கள் சுகம் அனுபவிப்பதால் அவர்களுக்காக (விதிக்கப்பட்ட மஹர்)தொகையைக் கடமையாக கொடுத்து விடுங்கள். எனினும் மஹரை பேசி முடித்தபின் அதை(க் கூட்டவோ அல்லது குறைக்கவோ) இருவரும் சம்மதித்துக் கொண்டால் உங்கள் மேல் குற்றமாகாது - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிந்தோனும், ஞானமுடையோனுமாக இருக்கிறான்.
