அவ்வாறிருந்தும், (குர்ஆனின் மகத்தான) இச்செய்தி பற்றி நீங்கள் அலட்சியமாக இருக்கிறீர்களா?

is it this discourse that ye hold lightly?
அவ்வாறிருந்தும், (குர்ஆனின் மகத்தான) இச்செய்தி பற்றி நீங்கள் அலட்சியமாக இருக்கிறீர்களா?

therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse.
அங்கு இவர்கள் வீணானதையும், பாவமுண்டாக்குவதையும் (கொண்ட பேச்சுகளைச்) செவியுற மாட்டார்கள்.

how can you regard this discourse with disdain?
அவ்வாறிருந்தும், (குர்ஆனின் மகத்தான) இச்செய்தி பற்றி நீங்கள் அலட்சியமாக இருக்கிறீர்களா?

after this, in what discourse will they believe?

do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem,

indeed soon we shall cast on you a weighty discourse.
நிச்சயமாக, நாம் விரைவில் கனமான உறுதியான - ஒரு வாக்கை உம்மீது இறக்கி வைப்போம்.

and as to the favour of thine lord discourse thou thereof.
மேலும், உம்முடைய இறைவனின் அருட்கொடையைப் பற்றி (பிறருக்கு) அறிவித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பீராக.

let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth.
ஆகவே, (இவ்வாறெல்லாம் கூறும்) அவர்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாக இருந்தால், இ(வ்வேதத்)தைப் போன்ற ஒரு செய்தியை அவர்கள் கொண்டு வரட்டும்.

then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly.

let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim.
