இதற்கு முன்னர் மூஸாவிடம் கேள்விகள் கேட்கப்பட்ட மாதிரி நீங்களும் உங்கள் ரஸூலிடம் கேட்க விரும்புகிறீர்களா? எவனொருவன் ஈமானை 'குஃப்ரினால்' மாற்றுகிறானோ அவன் நிச்சயமாக நேர் வழியினின்றும் தவறிவிட்டான்.

because of the wickedness of some among the jews, and because they obstructed people from the way of god, we forbade them many things which were lawful for them;
எனவே யூதர்களாக இருந்த அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தின் காரணமாக அவர்களுக்கு (முன்னர்) ஆகுமாக்கப்பட்டிருந்த நல்ல (ஆகார) வகைகளை அவர்களுக்கு ஹராமாக்கி (விலக்கி) விட்டோம்;. இன்னும் அவர்கள் அநேகரை அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் செல்லவிடாது தடுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்ததனாலும் (அவர்களுக்கு இவ்வாறு தடை செய்தோம்.)

and thus do we detail the verses, and [thus] the way of the criminals will become evident.
குற்றவாளிகளின் வழி (இன்னதென்று சந்தேகமின்றித்) தெளிவாகுவதற்காக நாம் (நம்) வசனங்களை இவ்வாறு விவரிக்கின்றோம்.

among the people of moses' there was a party who guided others in the way of the truth and established justice in its light.
உண்மையைக் கொண்டு நேர்வழி பெற்று அதன் மூலம் நீதியும் செலுத்துகின்றவர்களும் மூஸாவின் சமுதாயத்தில் உள்ளனர்.

and allah's is the direction of the way, and some (roads) go not straight. and had he willed he would have led you all aright.
இன்னும் நேர் வழிகாட்டுதல் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதே இருக்கிறது (அவனருளை அடைய முடியாத) தவறான (பாதைகளும்) இருக்கின்றன மேலும், அல்லாஹ் நாடினால் உங்கள் அனைவரையும் நிச்சயமாக நேர்வழியில் சேர்த்துவிடுவான்.

but those who believe and those who migrate and struggle in the way of allah, those, have hope of the mercy of allah. allah is forgiving and merciful.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டோரும், (காஃபிர்களின் கொடுமைகளால் நாட்டை விட்டு) துறந்தவர்களும், அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் அறப்போர் செய்தோரும் அல்லாஹ்வின் (கருணையை) - ரஹ்மத்தை - நிச்சயமாக எதிர்பார்க்கிறார்கள்;. மேலும், அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் மன்னிப்போனாகவும், பேரன்புடையோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(they will be made to bear this witness to show that) it is not the way of your lord to destroy cities unjustly while their people were unaware of the truth.
(இவ்வாறு தூதர்களை அவன் அனுப்பியதற்குக்) காரணம் யாதெனில், அநியாயம் செய்பவர்களின் ஊரை, அதிலிருப்போர் எச்சரிக்கை இல்லாதிருக்கும் நிலையில் அவர்கள் செய்துவிட்ட அநியாயத்தின் காரணமாக உம் இறைவன் அழிப்பதில்லை என்பதேயாகும்.

alif. lam. ra'. this is a book which we have revealed to you that you may bring forth mankind from every kind of darkness into light, and direct them, with the leave of their lord, to the way of the mighty, the innately praiseworthy,
அலிஃப், லாம், றா. (நபியே! இது) வேதமாகும்; மனிதர்களை அவர்களுடைய இறைவனின் அனுமதியைக் கொண்டு இருள்களிலிருந்து வெளியேற்றிப் பிரகாசத்தின் பால் நீர் கொண்டுவருவதற்காக இ(வ் வேதத்)தை நாமே உம்மீது இறக்கியிருக்கின்றோம்; புகழுக்குரியவனும், வல்லமை மிக்கோனுமாகிய (அல்லாஹ்வின்) பாதையில் (அவர்களை நீர் கொண்டுவருவீராக!).

and of the cattle, for burthen and for slaughter, eat of what god has provided you; and follow not the steps of satan; he is a manifest foe to you.
இன்னும் கால்நடைகளில் சில சுமை சுமப்பதற்கும், சில உணவுக்காகவும் உள்ளன. அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு அளித்ததிலிருந்து உண்ணுங்கள் - நீங்கள் ஷைத்தானின் அடிச்சுவடுகளைப் பின்பற்றாதீர்கள்- நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்களுக்கு பகிரங்கமான பகைவனாவான்.

"and i follow the ways of my fathers,- abraham, isaac, and jacob; and never could we attribute any partners whatever to allah: that (comes) of the grace of allah to us and to mankind: yet most men are not grateful.
"நான் என் மூதாதையர்களான இப்றாஹீம், இஸ்ஹாக், யஃகூப் ஆகியோரின் மார்க்கத்தைப் பின்பற்றுகிறேன்; அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எதையும் நாங்கள் இணைவைப்பது எங்களுக்கு தகுமானதல்ல, இது எங்கள் மீதும் (இதர) மக்கள் மீதும் அல்லாஹ் புரிந்த அருளாகும் - எனினும் மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு) நன்றி செலுத்துவதில்லை.
