so give to the kinsman his due, and to the needy, and to the wayfarer. that is best for those who seek allah's countenance. and such are they who are successful.
ஆகவே, உறவினர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் பாத்தியதையைக் கொடுத்து வருவீராக. அவ்வாறே ஏழைகளுக்கும், வழிப்போக்கர்களுக்கும் (அவரவர்க்குரியதை கொடுத்து வருவீராக); எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் திருப் பொருத்தத்தை நாடுகிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு இது மிக்க நன்மையுடையதாகும்; அவர்கள்தாம் (அவ்வாறு கொடுத்து வருபவர் தாம்) வெற்றியாளர்களாவார்கள்.

முஃமின்களிடம் அவர்களுக்கிடையே (ஏற்படும் விவகாரங்களில்) தீர்ப்புக் கூறுவதற்காக அல்லாஹ்விடமும் அவனுடைய தூதரிடமும் (வரும்படி) அழைக்கப்பட்டால், அவர்கள் சொல்(வது) எல்லாம் "நாங்கள் செவியேற்றோம், (அதற்குக்) கீழ்படிந்தோம்" என்பது தான்; இ(த்தகைய)வர்கள் தாம் வெற்றியடைந்தவர்கள்.

lo! the riches and the progeny of those who disbelieve will not avail them aught against allah; and such are rightful owners of the fire. they will abide therein.
நிச்சயமாக எவர் நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்களைவிட்டு அவர்களுடைய செல்வமும், அவர்களுடைய சந்ததியும், அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து எந்த ஒரு பொருளையும் காப்பாற்ற முடியாது - அவர்கள் நரக நெருப்பிற்குரியவர்கள்; அவர்கள் அதில் என்றென்றும் இருப்பார்கள்.

lo! those who disbelieve after their (profession of) belief, and afterward grow violent in disbelief: their repentance will not be accepted. and such are those who are astray.
எவர் ஈமான் கொண்ட பின் நிராகரித்து மேலும் (அந்த) குஃப்ரை அதிகமாக்கிக் கொண்டார்களோ, நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுடைய தவ்பா - மன்னிப்புக்கோரல் - ஒப்புக்கொள்ளப்பட மாட்டாது. அவர்கள் தாம் முற்றிலும் வழி கெட்டவர்கள்.

it is no virtue. that you turn your faces towards the east or the west, but virtue is that one should sincerely believe in allah and the last day and the angels and the book and the prophets and, out of his love, spend of one's choice wealth for relatives and orphans, for the needy and the wayfarer, for beggars and for the ransom of slaves, and establish the salat and pay the zakat. and the virtuous are those who keep their pledges when they make them and show fortitude in hardships and adversity and in the struggle between the truth and falsehood; such are the truthful people and such are the pious.
புண்ணியம் என்பது உங்கள் முகங்களைக் கிழக்கிலோ, மேற்கிலோ திருப்பிக்கொள்வதில் இல்லை. ஆனால் புண்ணியம் என்பது அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதும், இறுதி(த் தீர்ப்பு) நாளின் மீதும், மலக்குகளின் மீதும், வேதத்தின் மீதும், நபிமார்கள் மீதும் ஈமான் கொள்ளுதல், (தன்) பொருளை இறைவன் மேலுள்ள நேசத்தின் காரணமாக, பந்துக்களுக்கும், அநாதைகளுக்கும், மிஸ்கீன்(ஏழை)களுக்கும், வழிப் போக்கர்களுக்கும், யாசிப்பவர்களுக்கும், (அடிமைகள், கடனாளிகள்) போன்றோரின் மீட்புக்காகவும் செலவு செய்தல்;. இன்னும் தொழுகையை ஒழுங்காகக் கடைப்பிடித்து, முறையாக ஜகாத் கொடுத்து வருதல்(இவையே புண்ணியமாகும்) இன்னும் தாம் வாக்களித்தால் தம் வாக்குறுதிகளை நிறைவேற்றுவோரும்; (வறுமை, இழப்பு போன்ற) துன்பத்திலும், (நோய் நொடிகள் போன்றவற்றின்) கஷ்டத்திலும், யுத்த சமயத்திலும், உறுதியுடனும், பொறுமையுடனும் இருப்போரும்தான் நன்னெறியாளர்கள்; இன்னும் அவர்கள் தாம் முத்தகீன்கள்(பயபக்தியுடையவர்கள்).
