i miss the way we use to talk
உங்களிடம் இருக்கும்போது அதை மதிக்கவும்

do you ever miss us, the way we used to be?
நீங்கள் எப்போதாவது எங்களை இழக்கிறீர்களா

"but we used to talk vanities with vain talkers;
"(வீணானவற்றில்) மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தோருடன், நாங்களும் மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தோம்.

nor did we used to feed the poor.
"அன்றியும், ஏழைகளுக்கு நாங்கள் உணவும் அளிக்கவில்லை.

i wish we could talk again like we used to be before
நான் செய்தி வழியாக நீங்கள் பேச விரும்புகிறேன்

and we used to deny the day of recompense
"இந்த நியாயத் தீர்ப்பு நாளை நாங்கள் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டும் இருந்தோம்.

and we used to deny the day of judgment,
"இந்த நியாயத் தீர்ப்பு நாளை நாங்கள் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டும் இருந்தோம்.

"and we used to belie the day of recompense
"இந்த நியாயத் தீர்ப்பு நாளை நாங்கள் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டும் இருந்தோம்.

and we used to call the day of judgment a lie;
"இந்த நியாயத் தீர்ப்பு நாளை நாங்கள் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டும் இருந்தோம்.

"nor we used to feed al-miskin (the poor);
"அன்றியும், ஏழைகளுக்கு நாங்கள் உணவும் அளிக்கவில்லை.

that is how we make the wrongdoers one another’s friends because of what they used to earn.
இவ்வாறே அநியாயக்காரர்களில் சிலரை மற்றும் சிலருடன் - அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும் (பாவச்) செயல்களின் காரணத்தால் - நெருங்கியவர்களாக ஆக்குகிறோம்.

"and we used to talk falsehood (all that which allah hated) with vain talkers.
"(வீணானவற்றில்) மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தோருடன், நாங்களும் மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தோம்.

we used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders,
"(வீணானவற்றில்) மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தோருடன், நாங்களும் மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தோம்.

and we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses.
"(வீணானவற்றில்) மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தோருடன், நாங்களும் மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தோம்.

before this, we used to pray to him. he is the good, the compassionate.”
"நிச்சயமாக நாம் முன்னே (உலகில்) அவனைப் பிரார்த்தித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தோம், நிச்சயமாக அவனே மிக்க நன்மை செய்பவன், பெருங்கிருபையுடையவன்."

and we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it],
"(வீணானவற்றில்) மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தோருடன், நாங்களும் மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தோம்.

they will say, ‘indeed, aforetime, we used to be apprehensive about our families.
"இதற்கு முன் (உலகில்) நாம் நம் குடும்பத்தாரிடையே இருந்த போது (வேதனை பற்றி) நிச்சயமாக அஞ்சியவர்களாகவே இருந்தோம்.

lo! we used to pray unto him of old. lo! he is the benign, the merciful.
"நிச்சயமாக நாம் முன்னே (உலகில்) அவனைப் பிரார்த்தித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தோம், நிச்சயமாக அவனே மிக்க நன்மை செய்பவன், பெருங்கிருபையுடையவன்."

and they will say, "why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst?
இன்னும், அவர்கள்; "நமக்கு என்ன நேர்ந்தது? மிகக் கெட்ட மனிதர்களிலுள்ளவர்கள் என்று நாம் எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்தோமே, அவர்களை (நரகத்தில்) ஏன் காணவில்லை?

and they will say, "how is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked,
இன்னும், அவர்கள்; "நமக்கு என்ன நேர்ந்தது? மிகக் கெட்ட மனிதர்களிலுள்ளவர்கள் என்று நாம் எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்தோமே, அவர்களை (நரகத்தில்) ஏன் காணவில்லை?
