no doubt that what you call me to has no title to be called to in this world, nor in the hereafter, and that our turning back is to allah, and that the extravagant are the inmates of the fire;

நூஹுக்கு எதனை அவன் உபதேசித்தானோ, அதனையே உங்களுக்கும் அவன் மார்க்கமாக்கியிருக்கின்றான். ஆகவே (நபியே) நாம் உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவிப்பதும், இப்றாஹீமுக்கும், மூஸாவுக்கும், ஈஸாவுக்கும் நாம் உபதேசித்ததும் என்னவென்றால்; "நீங்கள் (அனைவரும்) சன்மார்க்கத்தை நிலை நிறுத்துங்கள், நீங்கள் அதில் பிரிந்து விடாதீர்கள்' என்பதே - இணைவைப்போரை நீங்கள் எதன் பக்கம் அழைக்கின்றீர்களோ, அது அவர்களுக்குப் பெரும் சுமையாகத் தெரிகிறது - தான் நாடியவர்களை அல்லாஹ் தன் பால் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக் கொள்கிறான் - (அவனை) முன்னோக்குபவரை அவன் தன்பால் நேர்வழி காட்டுகிறான்.

nay, him you call upon, so he clears away that for which you pray if he pleases and you forget what you set up (with him).
"அப்படியல்ல! - அவனையே நீங்கள் அழைப்பீர்கள்; அப்போது அவன் எதற்காக அவனை அழைத்தீர்களோ அ(த் துன்பத்)தை தான் நாடினால் நீக்கிவிடுவான், இன்னும் (அவனுடன்) இணை வைத்திருந்தவற்றை நீங்கள் மறந்து விடுவீர்கள்.

and they say, “our hearts are screened from what you call us to, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a barrier. so do what you want, and so will we.”

இன்னும், நீங்கள் பிரயாணத்திலிருந்து, (அச்சமயம்) எழுதுபவனை நீங்கள் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளாவிட்டால், (கடன் பத்திரத்திற்கு பதிலாக ஏதேனும் ஒரு பொருளை கடன் கொடுத்தவன்) அடமானமாகப் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம். உங்களில் ஒருவர் மற்றவரை நம்பி (இவ்வாறு ஒரு பொருளைக் காப்பாக வைத்தால்,) யாரிடத்தில் அமானிதம் வைக்கப்ட்டதோ அவன் அதனை ஒழுங்காகத் திருப்பிக் கொடுத்துவிட வேண்டும்;. அவன் தன் இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வை அஞ்சிக் கொள்ளட்டும்; அன்றியும், நீங்கள் சாட்சியத்தை மறைக்க வேண்டாம் - எவன் ஒருவன் அதை மறைக்கின்றானோ நிச்சயமாக அவனுடைய இருதயம் பாவத்திற்குள்ளாகிறது - இன்னும் நீங்கள் செய்வதையெல்லாம் அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிவான்.

and say: "our hearts are immured against what you call us to. there is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. so act (your way), we are acting (ours)."
